This is actually the second time I’ve stayed here. Dorm room is nice, you get privacy in your own pod and the traditional Japanese mattress is comfy. Although prices have gone up, I paid almost the same for one night this year as I did for two last year. The hostel didn’t seem as busy either. I was only staying for one night so chose this place based on its good location (close to JR line) however for the price if I was staying for longer I would probably check out one of the other highly rated hostels that are much cheaper or even a cheap private room for about the same price as Ikidane.
location is good for tranport near the main station and Don Quijote but Around location look dangerous and dark
overall is good and clean small free space but big bed(futon)
Staff were lovely and helpful, very quiet considering how thin the walls are. Clean and good facilities. Shower on top floor a bit annoying but there’s a fast elevator.
Beds are basic futon mattress which felt a bit thin but was fair for the price. Good location close to a JR and local station. Would recommend.
Great place and friendly staffs, very convenient to the airport, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara. Would be better if there was a open bar as the shared dormitories are only suited for sleeping and nothing else...again, every staff was extremely nice. 😉
Happy with my experience, would stay here again :)
Staff was excellent. The place is not much, but it's brand new, clean, and you can't beat the price. Great location. Lively area with restaurants and bar is within walking distance.
Everything was great but keep in mind that you will live in the same area as many other: people snore and have natural body odors (even with a proper hygiene) that you might not appreciate.
Bonne expérience. Dormir sur un futon est une expérience à faire quand on va au Japon. En plus, le personnel et les accomodation (douche, toilette, cuisine, ...) sont très bien!
