"Had a recent stay at Sage Motel (Newcastle, WY) while traveling through to Mt. Rushmore. I was very happy with the clean accommodation, little personal touches throughout the room, recently remodeled property with modern furnishings and entertainment connectivity. Pride of Ownership shows through and through around the Property & Main Building. Conveniently located to all major highways, restaurants, and historic Downtown. A blissful quiet sleep and pleasant home away from home. I would definitely recommend Sage Motel to friends and family while visiting the area."
Bear Lodge Motel

"We needed the large room, but didn't know it was on the second level. The receptionist was very helpful and said they also have adjoining rooms available on the lower floor. The staircase is covered and well lit, parking was a nice space in a courtyard off the street, sheets were clean, as was the bathroom. The room had good space. It was a good overall stay for our family of 6."

"Clean, comfortable king bed. Heating system a little confusing. There was only one sink, in the mini kitchen; no sink in the bathroom. That worked out okay. But the biggest deficit is that there is no lighting for makeup in the large bathroom mirror. I had to use my hand mirror near a window. Everything else was fine. The lack of lighting is why I can only rate it as Good. There is an absolutely beautiful scenic valley view from the front deck. A table and chairs are provided on the deck, very pleasant sitting spot. We saw wild turkeys."

"Beautiful view off the front deck! This property was immaculate. It had everything we needed. The cabinets were all labeled to make things easy to find. This rental would be great for a family with kids because there is a loft and there is a hanging bunk bed. The property is very conveniently located off the interstate and near Sundance. We would definitely stay here again."

"A beautiful place of sanctuary for me when i needed one, in the middle of my beloved Black Hills, preserved in the Wyoming side, while other parts of the forest have been developed. Reminding me of many wonderful vacations in the 50s staying with my parents in such places. Maybe this one. A SD native like me, host Jennifer provides everything needed and nothing more, a good thing for singles and elders, furnished well with antiques yet all tech ready with internet, tv, kitchen fridge, hot plate, grill. She even jump started my car. See the best part of the Black Hills, minutes from Spearfish Canyon, Bear Butte, Lead Deadwood, Devil’s Tower, if you chose to ever leave the peace of this place. I’ll be back."
