Gebhardt Getaway - Charming LAKEFRONT Cottage on Lake Willoughby

Welcome! We would like to invite you to experience some of the best views Lake Willoughby has to offer by staying at our family cottage!!The views are too good not to share :) Our cottage is located right on north beach road, a hop, skip and a jump away from Lake Willoughby's north beach, making it very convenient for relaxing beach days. Forgot sunscreen or a drink for the day? Need the bathroom? Walk within seconds back to the house from the beach and grab it. The front porch of our home is enclosed to allow you to enjoy your cup of morning coffee or evening glass of wine with a side of sunshine and mountain views independent of the weather. Great for families or a couples getaway, our cottage can be a nice refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There is a full kitchen with a fridge, microwave, electric range, toaster, and coffeemaker - we will provide dish soap, hand soap, a roll of paper towels and toilet paper. We ask that you bring your own beach and bath towels. We have a flat screen tv in the living area space with Blu-ray DVD player and also a host of movies to choose from. There are also a few board games, uno, deck of cards, and beach toys for you to enjoy as well. There are two queen bedrooms to fit 4 people/ 2 couples comfortably on the first floor. There is a full bath on the main level with a tub and a shower. The upstairs is a large bedroom with a queen bed and an additional twin to accommodate additional guests or kids. There is also an additional half bath upstairs. There is a fire pit and picnic table on the front yard to enjoy outdoor dining and s’mores. This home means so much to our family, we have created so many wonderful memories here and we hope you will do the same! It was a beautiful stay!! The cabin was so cosy and it was so nice to have a fire pit outside to enjoy the cool evenings. We use to have a trailer up here a mile or two away from the lake and always talked about wanting to stay at a beachfront house growing up! A few years ago we had to sell but I’m so glad we got to experience this cabin now.

Lots of charm, great views and location

It’s literally steps from the lake with a sandy beach, perfect! Comfortable beds, kitchen was well stocked and overall a perfect little cabin! My only complaint was the bed linens were all washed in a very strong smelling detergent or fabric softener, it was really overpowering. We would still go back with our own bedding!

Perfect location

What a gem!

This cottage was wonderful and had many wonderful amenities. The owner was responsive and helpful, thank you Florence! We would most definitely go back again. My parents loved it and we made so many memories with them. Ones my children will remember for a lifetime. The location was great and water/beach beautiful.

Let time stand still

We love Lake Willoughby, it’s different everyday. Our stay happened to be during Vermonts flooding, but Lake Willoughby had no flooding. We made the best of it, took a drive to the border. Walked the beach with the kids, took a drive to Derby. Explored the area…always a pleasure! Thank you!

Let Time Stand Still..

The cabin was awesome! Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 children! Roomy.. We enjoyed the short distance to and from the cabin and beach. The kids were so excited with the cabin, we are Italy enjoyed a fire outside, friendly ducks, SUP board and kayaking at its best!! We will be back!!

Lake Willoughby Charm

Quaint old timey cabin that was just right for 2 adult couples to escape for a few days and enjoy the mountains. We hiked the trails and cooled off in the lake, perfect Vermont weekend.

Perfect location on Lake Willoughby

We had a great stay at the cabin. The views are spectacular and the beach is less than 20 steps from the front door. Communication with owner was excellent. Some things to keep in mind when visiting, there is no AC and really was not needed, limited food options and 911 does not work on Verizon (we observed a lake emergancy). We would highly recommend visiting this cabin.

A great value for your money

Decent vacation places that have a good value are hard to come by, this one did not disappoint! First off, the location is incredible, just across the street from North Beach. It is quite busy there during the day, as it is a popular spot. We loved the early mornings and late afternoons there, when we had the beach and the gorgeous view all to ourselves, the view really cannot be beat! This is an old family camp, with some updates, that has a lot of charm. The front large screened porch was our favorite room. There is room enough for 6 adults, we never felt cramped at all. The kitchen area could be better supplied, I had to improvise at times as I did not have all the tools needed to cook a meal, but that is to be expected. Some decluttering would be helpful there to keep what is useful and toss what is not. The beds were very comfy, got a great nights sleep! I would definitely come back here to rent again! Prefect Summer Getaway

This is a perfect summer getaway in Vermont!! The cabin has all you need to make your stay comfortable!! Amazing lake views and access to the free public beach!! We rented paddleboards from Clyde River Recreation, they delivered the boards and picked them up! We also spent an afternoon at The Pumphouse at Jay Peak, just 45 min north! So much to do in the area, from hiking, boating, museums, ice cream, and just relaxing on the lake!! It was our 3rd year and we will be back!!!

We were quit disappointed with the cleanliness, there were cob webs and dust all over the cabin. The light hanging by the fireplace did not work and when we tried to turn it on it sparked. We did not try to use it again.We washed all the dishes we used before and after we used them.The mattresses on the beds need to be up graded and new. They really are uncomfortable.Being close to the lake was great.

“Lakefront Living at its Finest”

Staying in a comfortable home on the cleanest body of water we have ever seen was a delight. Once you step through the door, you have everything you could need for a relaxing and refreshing vacation. The loons and the bald eagles were an unexpected bonus. We will be back! 🤗
