« We came in Fall for a quick getaway to explore the area. The Great Outpost was indeed, great!Our host were welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed and more, including the hot tub. « We had an absolutely wonderful time! We loved the space, especially the big deck for stargazing and the creek for splashing around. There was AC throughout the house which made the hot days easy. This place is a total gem and only 12 minutes from town and the river! The only thing we would change for our next visit is that we would bring an extra air mattress as some of the fold out couches weren’t super comfortable. We are so glad we were able to stay here and we cannot wait until our next...

« This property was perfect for our three-night stay in Kernville. Close to restaurants and shopping, as well as easy to walk to river. Pretty quiet and relaxing. Loved spending time on the little outdoor patio/balcony in the evenings. A family of deer graced us with their presence one night, which we enjoyed. A little strange having to wear a wristband all weekend but maybe a better solution can be found to identify guests in the future...? »

« The cabin is super cute, very clean, and has an awesome location. We thought we were getting the cabin pictured with a deck but cabin 11 does not have one. Either way, it’s a very nice stay. On the property, Kern River runs through where we saw people fishing. While it’s very close to town, I wouldn’t recommend walking since it’s on the main road. Our hosts were very nice and we would absolutely head back when we can. »

« The property is a mix of little cabins and rv spaces. It was clean and quiet. The mattress was very nice and comfortable. It was just the 2 of us but there was sleeping space for 4 others. Bunk beds in the other small bedroom and a futon in the living area. It also had a barbecue and picnic table in the outside space. Reasonable prices. I would recommend »
