"We are in our 70s so the loft was a steep ladder which seemed slippery. We’d reserve a 2-bed in the future for the convenience of the main floor bedroom. Dishes and linens were nice quality. It rained the whole time we were there, but the large windows allowed us to take in the setting. Shades really kept out the sun, and it was nice there was a shade for every window! It was fun and unique for a rental to have a wood fireplace! The 5-point door was tricky to lock. Well maintained paths....

"This site is still under construction but promises to be a nice getaway. I was the only cabin in use. The huge windows provided a great view of the lake and the daily gathering of Canadian geese. Perfect place for dogs with clean tile floors - easy to clean and don’t hold smells from previous pets. Comfortable bed, great TV, tight quarters with limited furniture/seating (no place to set suitcase), beautiful bathroom, basic kitchen tools (no serving bowls or mixing dish) and coffee provided....

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even taught me how to pronounce the name of the road outside the motel! This motel is certainly a vintage Midcentury marvel outside, but the rooms have been updated. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the room temperature just right. One safety issue: we noticed that the outside building door's lock was broken, but the interior room locks were fine. Really Good Experience

"This hotel is well maintained and clean. The staff were great. I locked my key card in the room, and the desk clerk was really kind about making a new. I was in the area during Hog Days in Kewanee, and this was the only hotel available. I was skeptical after a really awful experience at a Super 8 in Sioux City, IA. But the Super 8 in Galva is great! I have only good things to say. "

"The room was immaculate--but we were especially impressed by the rooms furnishings and features--the shelf larger enough for two or three suitcases on the wall beneath the TV--the arrangement of toilet, privacy wall, shower and sink in the bathroom --the many assorted light fixtures making many levels of light possible."
