The room itself was beautiful—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed to be both cozy and luxurious after long days of exploring Iceland. But the real showstopper? Sitting in the hot tub while watching the northern lights dance across the sky. It’s hard to put into words just how surreal and unforgettable that experience was—truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment that I’ll carry with me forever. On top of that, the staff was exceptional. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, they went out of their way to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect. You could feel how much they cared about creating an incredible experience for their guests. If you’re looking for a place in Iceland that combines comfort, breathtaking scenery, and outstanding service, this is it. I can’t recommend it highly enough—and I would return in a heartbeat. (821 reviews) The staff was super friendly, even changing my room so I would have a better view in case the northern lights would make an appearance! I had to be up super early for a flight so in-room coffee makers would be my suggestion. Otherwise staff gave me a complimentary transfer back to the airport, what more could I ask for?! (4 reviews) This dome was perfect! Very clean which is the most important to me. It had all the essentials, extra blankets and the beds were comfortable. The host was super responsive and sent delivered more wood for us quickly. The town of Selfoss is 5-6 kilometers and has nice dining options.
