Rest, Relaxation, & Quick Access to Ohiopyle Await

This vacation rental oasis has much to offer. The home includes ample space inside with the 2 bedroom, 1 bath, with open concept living area; but, it is the outdoor spaces that will really "wow" you. The property includes two decks on both sides of the house, a fire pit, and 10 acres to enjoy! The view from the top of the property is fantastic to do a picnic or catch the an evening of star gazing--for which the Ohiopyle area (with it's low ambient light) is known! The best is that this property is located less than 2 miles from downtown Ohiopyle, which means quick access to the bike trail, rafting, and fishing! Enjoy!

This property does require a short term lease agreement to be signed by a guest. Please do not make a reservation request via HomeAway or a direct inquiry without being willing to sign a short term lease agreement!

We also encourage guests to really understand the details of the Reservation Request process, including approach to payment (many guests DO NOT understand the details when they make a request), which creates issues/more work for guests later in the process. We would be happy to explain the details simply send a direct inquiry (via email or call).

THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 2100 FEET ELEVATION. WE DO PLOW; HOWEVER, GUESTS SHOULD HAVE A 4WD VEHICLE TO STAY HERE FROM NOV 1-MARCH 31!

Great!

My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and grilling on the patio. The bed was very comfortable. Secluded but still convenient to Ohiopyle. We were in town for the Beer and Gear Festival. GPS might take you to the neighbor’s driveway so just make sure to read the directions provided.

Cozy House Centrally Located to Major Sites

This house is centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Laurel Caverns, Nemacolin, and Ohiopyle State Park trails. Everything is just 10-15 minute drive but when you come back to the house after a long day, you feel like you are in the country far away from the rest of the world, so you can relax and recharge for the next day.

The mountains are calling . . .

Beautiful landscape, great view, nice and private. Great place to relax, not far from hustle and bustle of Pittsburgh. Enjoyed the hot tub, very clean! Property management and owner responded quickly, owner even took the time to drop off blankets since it was a little cool. Bugs were the only issue. When you opened storage container to take out chair cushions there were lots of bugs all over the cushions, so we were unable to use them. A bug light would have been nice on porch. We found a hornets nest under the back porch when we came to check/in and they had an exterminator come out within 30-40 mins. I would definitely go back again, but when it is in season, so more activities would be available.

Just What We Wanted…

My husband and I stayed in this home for 2 weeks. It was a perfect place for us. We cycled the GAP Trail in both directions, saw Frank Lloyd Wright homes, and a waterfall. Our host provided a comfortable, clean, well-equipped space that was maintained in impeccable condition. The view from the hilltop was amazing; we had a perfect view for comet-sighting. I liked it so much I don’t even have a suggestion for improvement!

We had a great stay just outside of Ohiopyle, on a warm, beautiful November weekend. Your property was clean and the beds and furniture, comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was a nice experience after walking the trails at Ohiopyle.

Quiet getaway

Close to Ohiopyle sites yet the short drive to the house brings you to a quiet country setting. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets on the hill and walking around the area after dinner. Peaceful. We had a couple of issues; the owners were very responsive and helpful.

Peace and quiet

Very lovely. The cottage was located away from the road and was very quiet. As we watched the sun set, a doe and her fawn came down the driveway. Close to all the places we were visiting - Fallingwaters, Kentuck Knob, Laurel Caverns and the GAP trail. The outdoor space was very comfortably furnished. Too cold to white water raft.

Great, quiet getaway

Stayed several nights to get away from work and enjoy Ohiopyle. What a great location just a few miles out of town on very private property. It was very peaceful. The cabin was impeccably clean and well appointed-we wanted for nothing while there. The fire pit and hot tub were great amenities as well. Highly recommended!

Quiet, country setting

Loved the quiet. Close enough to Ohiopyle to do whatever we wanted, but felt like we were coming home to our own little spot in the country. Deer and Turkey in the field, birds calling, and really couldn’t even hear cars. Sunset was gorgeous from the top of the hill. Communication with the property manager/owner was seamless. Very helpful and super friendly.

Comfortable lil place hot tub very disappointing

Nice place an location but the hot tub was the worse the temperature reads 100 but the water was probably 80 an was very slimy an didn’t seem like it was drained an cleaned mybe like someone just dumped a bottle of bleach in it.
