When you're not enjoying the heated pool and hot tub in the condos there are many other activities, both relaxing and exciting, that the harbor has to offer for people of all ages. If you're looking for something adventurous check out the water sports rentals across from the shops and restaurants. Here you will be able to rent affordable kayaks, jet skis, pedal boats, stand-up paddleboards, and more! At Helgren's Sports Fishing you can schedule a day trip or an overnight adventure to fish, whale watch, or embark on a harbor excursion. You'll be able to find everything you need for a perfect fishing trip including fuel, equipment, and more. The harbor is also home to numerous sports bars, restaurants, and cafes of all kinds to ensure your satisfaction. There are several fantastic seafood options to choose from such as Harbor Fish & Chips or Oceanside Broiler. If you prefer a more upscale experience try D'vino, a popular fusion bistro that includes a gelato café and wine bar. The harbor's inviting village setting is perfect for unwinding with a relaxing stroll through the various gift shops and boutiques where you will find stylish beachwear as well as souvenirs & gifts so you can take a little bit of paradise home with you. Just a few steps away from the condos lay a long stretch of sand perfect for beach games or volleyball. There are also various tents which offer surf lessons and surfboard rentals for more adventurous vacationers. Families will be pleased to know that this beach has several convenient features such as bathrooms, showers, and lifeguards on duty during peak seasons and hours. The shaded picnic tables and coal barbecue grills are perfect for large or small gatherings after a long day at the beach. You can also end your beach day with a short walk to the Oceanside Pier and grab a fish sandwich from the Tin Fish to enjoy on the beach. Parking on site is free for 1 vehicle per condo. Guest parking is available in the paid lots and free parking for 72 hours in the parking lot by the Crab Shack. No vehicles over 16ft allowed in the parking area at all. Tall, large and extended pickup trucks or SUV's will need to park off-site. Events held at Oceanside Harbor Beach: Western Surfing Association (WSA) Events Iron Man 70.3 Scholastic Surf Series Beach Soccer Championships Quiet Beaches: Monday - Friday of Jan, Feb, April, May, Sept. There are some events scheduled on weekends during these time so check with management. No Guest Parking on site from May until June. Only the assigned space may be used for your unit. Extra vehicles need to use paid parking lots or Free Parking area by the Crab Shack. Q. Is there parking in the complex? A. Most units have 1 assigned parking space. Day guests can park in the pay lot beside complex. Overnight guests will need to park in the 72-hour free lot 1 on the east side of the harbor. This is on a first come, first served basis. Q. What if I have an oversized vehicle? A. No vehicles over 16ft allowed on the property. Oversized vehicles need to pay for overnight parking in the camping area or in the Free Parking by the Crab Shack if available. 72 hours max. Q. What beach equipment do we need to bring? A. We suggest you bring your own beach towels, boogie boards, and umbrellas. Some of the units may have these items, but we cannot guarantee they will be available on your arrival. Q. Are pets allowed? Little bit tired amenities Reading the reviews was not exactly clear to me on this place, so let me clarify. Amazing location facing the pier in an apartment complex. Beach was on the other side but the pier side was nice and quiet. The beach is very public and a dead end location - pros and cons to both. The apartment itself was sufficient. The furniture (beds) were really tired, lazy boy chair missing the handle, TV door off its hinges, just all the furniture was tired. This is not the top unit so be aware, upstairs neighbors were clearly home all the time and noticeable (nothing of course that can be done). Overall a decent location and with a little polish on the interiors this could be an amazing location. I would probably not stay again and instead look for a more well furnished location for the price. Property manager was amazing and incredibly responsive. ##### Mathew N. The unit was not cleaned sufficiently (floors dirty, bath tub dirty, at least 5 lightbulbs were burned out and furniture needed cleaning. Location is absolutely perfect and accomodations were wonderful. Loved having access to a warm outside shower to rinse off the kids before going to the pool or back up to the condo. The location was perfect the beach and restaurants all within walking distance. The only problem we had was the family above us. The parents let there kids run and jump all morning and most of the night. I texted our contact person to let them know what was happening. They said it was another property management that was renting the unit out. They did said they would try to get the problem resolved. The issue was never taken of. That was very disappointing. Apparently that is a thing at some location along the beach. You must select AC in the amenities. Decent restaurants along the beach. We enjoyed the harbor view vs the beach view. It was stated that you get a good breeze at night just leave the windows open and it will cool down. Definitely didn’t cool down enough for us. We ended up getting a hotel room for the evening and stayed here during the day and evening while out at the beach. This condo is nicely updated and has all the extras in the kitchen needed to stay a full week. They even had paper plates, disposable utensils, and Ziplock bags. which were a nice touch. We cooked several meals and didn't miss anything from our home kitchen. The beach towels and beach play items were nice to have on hand for the kids. We wish there were curtains in the bedrooms and the power outlets were hard to access but other than that, we had a nice stay. ##### Amy K.
