We arrived to our hotel Friday night after flying in from Los Angeles, we were told by the front desk that we did not have a reservation with their hotel. Mind you I had confirmed with the hotel 3 times to avoid any problems, I was told each time that we were confirmed. The front desk told us that somebody had cancelled our reservation and would have to complete a new reservation and pay again. Our entire stay was already pre-paid. I forwarded our confirmation and email from Expedia confirming our reservation, they didn’t care. We were so stressed out and worried we would not have a place to stay. We went ahead and completed a new reservation and paid again to ensure we had a place to stay. I checked again that night and the following morning, they said they didn’t know what had happened. I contacted Expedia, they were very helpful, contacted the hotel, confirmed our reservation. And asked that they refund the money we had paid the other riot night. The hotel only said they did not know what had happened. That was a horrible start to our vacation. Beware that the hotel does not charge you twice and try to tell you that you don’t have reservations. In all my years in traveling I had never had such a horrible experience.
