THE SPACE

Set on a beautiful quarter-acre corner lot surrounded by mature live oaks and pine trees, Happy Hour offers more than 1,800 square feet of comfortable indoor and outdoor living space.

The home is located on a direct beach-access street, so your family can walk to the beach in approximately three minutes without crossing a busy road or paying for beach parking.

Spend your days swimming in the private pool, relaxing beneath the backyard pergola, cooking on the Blackstone griddle or roasting marshmallows around the fire pit. When you’re ready for the ocean, load the provided beach cart and enjoy an easy walk to the sand.

Inside, the open-concept living, kitchen and dining areas provide plenty of room for families and friends to gather. Three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and additional sleeping spaces comfortably accommodate your group.

PRIVATE POOL AND FENCED BACKYARD

The private resort-style pool is the centerpiece of the backyard and includes fun fountain features for children to enjoy. The fenced outdoor area provides space for swimming, dining, grilling and relaxing.

Constant adult supervision required for children and non-swimmers
No diving, glass, or rough play
Please rinse off sunscreen/lotion at the outdoor shower before swimming — it affects the water chemistry
Kids who aren't potty-trained must wear a swim diaper (regular diapers aren't pool-safe)
Optional pool heat: $30/day, Oct–Dec, weather permitting, must be added for your full stay (can't be turned on/off mid-visit)

POOL HEATING

Optional pool heating is available for $30 per day during eligible spring and fall dates. Pool heating depends on outdoor temperatures and is generally available when temperatures remain above 45°F.

Please contact us before booking if pool heating is important to your stay so that we can confirm availability. Pool temperatures cannot be guaranteed during unusually cold weather.

FIRE-PIT AREA

After a day at the beach or pool, gather in the Adirondack chairs around the private fire pit. Roast marshmallows, enjoy the evening breeze and spend time together beneath the stars.

A starter supply of firewood is provided by the host.

BEACH ACCESS AND BEACH GEAR

Oak Island Beach is approximately a three-minute walk from the house along a direct beach-access street. There are no busy roads to cross on the way to the beach.

For your convenience, we provide:

Please return all beach equipment to the property after use.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY AMENITIES

LAUNDRY

A washer and dryer are located beside the kitchen. A starter supply of laundry products is provided. An iron is available in the primary-bedroom closet.

PET-FRIENDLY POLICY

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with advance notice and payment of the applicable pet fee.

• Pet fee: $55 per dog, per night
• Maximum of two dogs
• Dogs must be crated when left unattended
• Dogs are not permitted on furniture or beds
• Dogs are not permitted in the swimming pool
• Guests must clean up all pet waste from the yard and outdoor areas

For stays of seven nights or longer, please contact us before booking to ask about a discounted flat pet fee.

Undisclosed or unauthorized animals may result in a $500 fee, plus any extraordinary cleaning, deodorization, sanitization or replacement costs resulting from the stay.

Guests traveling with a service animal should notify the host before arrival so that we can prepare appropriately. Service animals are not charged a pet fee; however, guests remain responsible for damage or extraordinary cleaning resulting from the stay.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have private access to the entire home, swimming pool, fenced backyard, decks, fire-pit area and outdoor amenities. Nothing is shared with other guests.

Your personalized keyless-entry code will operate the main entrance and deck-side door.

PARKING

The property has two driveways with parking for up to four vehicles. Please contact the host before using street parking, as local parking regulations may apply.

• The person who books must remain at the property throughout the reservation

• Exterior security cameras monitor outdoor entry areas
• Tampering with or disabling security equipment is prohibited
• Guests use their own streaming-service credentials
• Early check-in and late checkout may be available for an additional fee when the reservation schedule permits
• Travel insurance is strongly recommended for protection against unexpected disruptions
