Pirate's Reef is a NEW and beautifully decorated residence that offers 5 spacious bedrooms (2 master suites!) with 4.5 bathrooms, full finished basement with wet bar and combo pool table/table tennis, and accommodates up to 12 guests. This is the PERFECT vacation home for you and your guests. This home is nestled behind the historic Shearer Cottage on a quiet lane in East Chop, located just minutes away from all the charm and activities that Oak Bluffs has to offer. The beach, harbor, and town are all just a pleasant 15 minute walk away, or less than a 5 minute drive/bike ride. Guests will enjoy the private, wooded area of the home's setting, allowing one to truly experience the magic of Vineyard "island living." Each floor features 1 master suite and 1 living room, making it quite comfortable for multiple families, large groups, and entertaining. Pirate’s Reef has custom carpentry, a gas fireplace, central air conditioning, ceiling fans, a Weber gas grill, and a fire pit to help create those special memories outside. The home has blazing fast 1,000 mbps (1 gigabyte) WiFi, for when you want to stream your favorite TV shows and movies from the multiple Samsung SmartTVs throughout the home, or if you want to go live on Instagram #getawaysociety #piratesreef. The high-speed internet is ideal for those who want to “work-from-anywhere,” which in this case is the beautiful and serene island of Martha’s Vineyard. The main level has a gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar, a Keurig coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, along with a gas range, and stainless steel appliances. The dining room has a large farmhouse table that seats at least 8 people. The living room has a 55” SmartTV with access to apps such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video, along with a DVD player. The main floor master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, two large closets, and the bathroom has a huge walk-in shower. The second level has 4 bedrooms. The upstairs master bedroom has a king bed, flat screen TV, and an en suite bathroom. The upstairs living room/bedroom has a sliding door and a private bath, flat screen TV, sleeper sofa, and a twin bed. The 4th bedroom has a full and twin bed and shares a Jack and Jill bathroom with the 5th bedroom, which has a queen and twin bed. The full finished basement provides even more SPACE. Upon walking downstairs you'll immediately notice the warm hue of the hardwood floors, gray furniture, and gorgeous granite countertops on the wet bar. To top it off, the basement also contains a pool table and 65" SmartTV to ensure a good time will be had by all! Off the living and dining room there is a wraparound deck with a Weber gas grill and outdoor seating, which provides a great environment for cookouts and gathering with friends and family. An outdoor shower enables you to rinse off after a long day at the beach. The washer and dryer is located in the unfinished basement. There is also ample parking in the driveway for 6 cars. This is a quintessential Martha's Vineyard vacation home and will exceed your expectations! Note: The guest house above the garage is NOT part of the home rental. Minimum age to rent is 25 years-old. NO pets and NO smoking. Please do not move the furniture. The cleaning fee covers cleaning, linens, towels, and the cost of laundering. The only potential “surprise” was how incredibly well stocked the kitchen was upon arrival (we expected very basic supplies, but were pleasantly surprised to find everything we could possibly need). The house was large, had plenty of sleep and relaxation space, was clean, and properly advertised on the listing. The host was easy to communicate with and provided updates as needed throughout (at one point I let him know a couple light bulbs were dead but that I didn’t need him to do anything during our trip. This is the most perfect home - everything we needed and more for a large multi-family vacation! The open kitchen, large dinning table, and living room shared space made for dancing in the kitchen while preparing meals, at the same time as intense family card games around the dining room table, and others binging favorite shows on the big screen smart tv - with quick breaks for stiff ping pong competitions in the amazing finished basement, followed by perfect nights with s’mores around the outdoor fireplace! We’ve rented for close to 15 years on the other side of OB by Waban/Niantic Park, and so weren’t sure if the location would work for kids (and adults) walking and biking into town - especially at night when teens going to the arcade - but it was a PERFECT location for everyone! We had a mix of small kids and adults and the house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay from the # of beds & baths, the bonus room downstairs & spacious side yard with fire pits. The only down side to our stay was there were ticks that we found on us and the kids after playing in the yard that we had to worry about throughout our stay. Perhaps we visited at the height of tick season (June) and this house is in a secluded area in the woods so not necessarily surprising but would advise others to continually use bug spray when in the yard. House is great location to local beaches & downtown OB and we enjoyed walking everywhere. Overall we would love to stay again here next year! ##### Katherine H. My friends and I just spent 3 nights at this gorgeous East Chop property. Everyone in the group gives it 5 stars. First off, the location is prime. It's less than a 5 minute drive to the OB dock and 10 minutes to VH. You can easily walk down to the marina and over to Circut Ave. The house and property itself were an absolute delight. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and then some. The large kitchen, dining space, living room with gas fireplace, and the bonus basement living room and bar, made this house perfect for 10 guests. With 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms everyone had enough space to stretch out and have privacy. I think our favorite feature was the outdoor space - the gas fire pit on the deck was awesome for morning coffee lounging. The fireplace in the yard was perfect for the evening fires, which came stocked with firewood. The yard is a great size for gathering a group for lawn games or a yoga session. The property manager was fantastic at coming to our rescue we when realized some light fixtures were not working properly. We arrived during a storm and had a surge, so they arranged a convenient time for it to be addressed and then fixed quickly. We also received an extra propane tank for our stay and plenty of firewood! Note - follow the GPS carefully. The location is a bit tricky with narrow dirt roads that break off. It's totally worth it for the peaceful location. You might even see deer like we did a few times. If you're looking for a spacious place to stay with great indoor/outdoor entertaining space, plus close to town, this property is it! Enjoy your stay! We'll be counting down until our next one. We found the most perfect house! Carrington is the most responsive owner that I have ever worked with and we have been renting on the island for over 10 yrs! No question was ever too small for him to answer immediately both before booking, after booking and during our stay. The house is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. It is equipped with EVERYTHING you could ever need. Just remember we made our full family Thanksgiving feast using all of the things in house. The house was super clean and extremely comfortable. We did get turned around a bit driving to the house the first time on the bumpy road, but quickly figured it out. We were cozy by the fire places and all through the house.
