They offered awesome views of the town and surrounding area. An evening hike to Schauinsland is a must for a beautiful view of sunset! The baker is right nextdoor, a good restaurant a 3 minute walk across the street, and a bus stop just outside. The town and surrounding area are lovely; we would recommend a stay. The place was not clean at all — we found hair everywhere, which was very off-putting. The bathroom was dirty and had black bits on the floor, making it feel unhygienic. The freezer was also very dirty, with bits of hair inside it — absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, we specifically booked an accommodation with a terrace, but were given a room with no terrace at all. This was misleading and not what we paid for. To make matters worse, we were charged 50 euros for cleaning, which is completely unreasonable considering the state the property was in when we checked in. The only positive aspects of our stay were the spa and the view, which were both very nice. Unfortunately, those few good points didn’t make up for the overall lack of cleanliness and misleading listing. Would not recommend to anyone and specially to ones travelling with kids." Not so good: the website promises a direct access to a lift and alpine run - no information that this had, in fact run out of snow and was closed over a month ago.
