The 200 m² house has been restored recently and comfortable. It is set in an approximately 5 000 m² large land with meadows and pastures, about 330 m above sea level.

It is beautifully decorated and has a kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a superstructure with double bed and two covered porches, one with spectacular views to Siracusa's entire environment and its coasts.
From here you can even see Mount Etna. You can enjoy fantastic sunrises and sunsets.

The accommodation is suitable for six people, extra bed available for a small surcharge.

Now there is a pool with magnificent views that invites to linger.

There is also a barbecue available for our guests.

In summer you need no air conditioning due to the high altitude and the thick walls. For the colder months the house is equipped with a heating system.

You can do a lot and relax at the same time.

La quiétude garantie

Excellent accueil des propriétaires et Vincenzo le gérant de l'agence répond rapidement à toutes les demandes et questions. La maison est très belle, la nature , les fleurs, le oiseaux, sont un vrai repos. Beaucoup de découverte à faire sur un rayon de 80 km, villes, réserves naturelles (Vincenzo nous a transmis toutes les informations).

Formidable maison, de grand confort, au calme absolu

Séjour familial fin avril 2019 avec trois enfants. La maison est très confortable, par tous les temps, et remarquablement bien équipée (produits entretien et courants , vaisselle, chaises longues, bbq..). Un peu difficile d'accès (Voiture obligatoire) mais en contrepartie calme absolu et vue splendide sur la campagne sicilienne. La piscine et les terrasses sont fort agréables. On rayonne facilement dans toute la Sicile baroque (raguse , Noto, Syracuse...) et excursion possible vers l’etna (2h de route) et la splendide Taormina. L’accueil et les conseils de Vincenzo et Georgio sont chaleureux et attentifs. Beaucoup de petites attentions ont émaillé le séjour avec bonheur (fruits et légumes du jardin, nécessaire pour un premier dîner etc..). Une très belle expérience à recommander !

Un grand bol d'air au paradis

Nous voulons remercier très chaleureusement Giogio et Lucia pour leur accueil très chaleureux. Nous garderons toujours en souvenir, ce moment de convivialité autour d'une coupe de champagne. Les enfants ont très apprécié ce lieu verdoyant, ce cadre magnifique, cette vue unique à 360 degrés mais surtout la piscine. La maison est très bien équipée. Les propriétaires savent très bien recevoir, petit vin d'Avola "Nero", fruits et légumes fraîchement cueillis et de l'huile d'olive faite par Giogio. Ces vacances resteront gravées dans notre mémoire.

This house was more than expected from the photos! Giorgio and Lucia the house managers were delightful and brought us fresh garden veggies and eggs from the chickens out back. The views from the house were breathtaking. It was spotless when we arrived and the beds were very comfortable. The wifi was good. It was about a 15 minute drive from major roads so very private and peaceful. I would recommend this property and would definitely stay there again when travelling in Sicily.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in der Villa!Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern lief einwandfrei und in Haus stand bei unserer Ankunft sogar frisches Obst und Gemüse für uns bereit. We could not have been happier

What an amazing house! So idyllic and quiet with the loveliest of service by Lucia, Guiseppe and Enzo. Fresh produce, herbs and eggs from the hens on the property, exceptional! The pool has been the best one yet and we have rented quite a few houses before. AC in every room. We’ll be back!:-)

Das Haus liegt ruhig in den Bergen mit Blick auf Syrakus, das Meer und im Norden den Ätna. Auch im Pool bietet sich einem dieser wunderschöne Blick.Wie vereinbart trafen wir uns und wurden zum Haus begleitet. Das ist sehr angenehm, denn man muss doch einige Kilometer eine kleine Straße bergauf.Die Vermieter waren ausgesprochen herzlich und sehr unkompliziert. wir bekamen oft ganz frisch gelegte Eier, von den Hühnern, die am Ende des Grundstücks gehalten werden, geschenkt.Ein herrliches Grundstück befindet sich um das ehemalige alte Bauernhaus. Im April blüht es in allen Farben.Je nach Tageszeit kann man windgeschützt vor oder hinter dem Haus sitzen. In der Küche haben wir uns auf dem Gasherd bestes Italienisches Essen, mit ganz frischen Lebensmitteln vom Markt in Syrakus gekocht.Das Haus und die Bäder sind sehr sauber. In den Wohn- und Schlafräumen gibt es Klimageräte zum kühlen und wärmen.Wir haben den Urlaub genossen und werden sicher wieder in dieses Haus fahren!!

Herrliche Oase mit tollem Blick und herzlichen Gastgebern

Unser Aufenthalt in dem Haus war ein Traum. Ein verlängerter Sommer im Oktober. Man kommt aus dem SZ an den Pool mit Blick auf Ätna, das Meer und Sirakus. In dem Haus ist alles zur genüge vorhanden. Man kann toll auf der Veranda essen und am Pool die Zeit genießen. Die Bilder im Netz geben den richtigen Eindruck. Das Haus liegt ruhig und einsam auf mehr als 300 m Höhe. Man erreicht es in 10-15 min von der Autobahn. Für Ausflüge in die Umgebung ist es sehr gut geeignet. Wir waren am Ätna, in Syrkaus und den Barockstädten Noto und Ragusa und in Taormina. Die Cava Grande de Cassibile ist ein schöner Ausflug in die Natur ganz in der Nähe. Die Gastfreundschaft von Giorgio und Lucia, den Vermietern ist sehr herzlich. Selbst deren Hühner haben Eier für uns gelegt. Und Enzo von der Agentur hat uns nicht nur von der Autobahn zum Haus geführt, sondern auch tolle Tipps gegeben. Insgesamt ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Wir können Haus und Besitzer/Agentur nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Home away from home

I stayed in this wonderful home for 3 weeks. I have stayed in many villas over the years in various countries, and this is among the best. The house is a true home from home, exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. The communication beforehand was great and I was met by Enzo whom I followed up to the house. Yes, it's a narrow and very windy road but after the first couple of times was absolutely fine. The house is very secluded and private with spectacular views. Due to the altitude, there was always a very pleasant breeze which made lying by the pool bearable as there are no parasols (due to the windiness of the setting). Giorgio and Lucia (the owners) were at the house to greet me and gave me a very warm welcome. The welcome package was by far the best I've ever had - including wine, olive oil (made from the olives in the house grounds), eggs (from their own hens), fresh fruits and vegetables (from their own garden), water, coffee, bread. I had actually been to the supermarket in Avola to stock up before I went to the villa - and pretty much everything I had bought was provided, so my advice would be not to do that before you arrive! The house itself is spotlessly clean and superbly equipped - there was nothing I needed that wasn't provided. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to the nearest town (Cassibile) and about 25-30 minutes to Avola / Noto, so a car is most definitely required. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay here and I will definitely be back!

Perfect rural getaway

My family and I recently spent a week at this amazing property. Its in a beautiful rural landscape at the end of a narrow track off a windy road (nothing to be concerned about if you're used to driving in Europe). There are magnificent views from the front of the house and pool over the hills to Ortigia with sea and Mt Etna in the distance. At the back, you can see then high cliffs which descend down to natural river gorge. We spent hours sitting outside taking in the scenery, listening to the sounds of nature and watching birds of prey soaring overhead. Theres a lovely beach a 20min drive away, and Syracuse and Noto are about half an hour. Its only 15 mins from the entrance to the Cavagrande Canyon which is an incredible place to explore. The property has everying you could need and is very comfortable - we never felt we needed to switch on the air-con the whole time we were there. Oh and the fruit from the trees grown around the property is out of this world!

Villa cava is one of a kind

Nice house in great environment

The property is located aside the main roads and towns. It is very quiet in the middle of the hills with a great view on the mediteranian sea and the Etna. As there are basically no neighbours one can realy enjoy very relaxed holidays here. On the property one can find herbs and spices enriching the prepared food. The house is very spacy and with air condition easy to cool or heat. The owners are very friendly and warm hearted and are always of help in case of questions on the property or on sicily in general.

A wonderful stay. Amazing location with clear views to the sea and Syracuse, which is only a 35min drive away. On a clear morning you can see Etna too. The local town of Cassibile is about 15 mins drive down the twisty road. Whilst not the most pretty the people are very welcoming, there is an excellent small super market, and numerous food stores. The cafes are superb, selling also incredibly good and cheap midday lunches. We recommend the ragu arancini. The house is superbly appointed. Excellent kitchen, and loads of space both inside and out. Air con in every room if it gets hot! The twisty road up is not a big deal if you are used to European roads, and has a high safety wall, so don't let that put you off. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. A very generous care package is left at your arrival, including olive oil from their own orchard. Quite excellent.

Stunning views and tranquility

The property was clean, well-equipped and even better than the photographs. Enzo, the house agent, met us and led us up to the villa. There was torrential rain the day we arrived so we were very glad he was there. The road is very windy in parts, but we soon got used to it, using the horn as needed. Georgio and Lucia were there to greet us, they were so kind and friendly, despite our very limited Italian. They gave us home grown fruit and vegetables and their own olive oil, and there were enough basics to start us off plus a welcome bottle of wine! Georgio was sometimes tending the land very early in the morning but was never intrusive at all, just giving a cheery wave and checking we were ok. We had a wonderful stay, relaxing in the pool, enjoying the views and the wildlife, and having evening BBQs. The weather was fabulous after the first day. There are lots of lovely places to visit within easy reach, we especially enjoyed a boat trip from Ortigia, Syracuse archeology park, Noto and Ragusa. We did a day trip to Agrigento to see the Valley of the Temples but it was close to a three hour drive each way so with hindsight probably a bit too far. It was our first trip to Sicily and we will definitely be back!

Serenity and beauty

Exceptional experience all around. The house is as depicted in the VRBO photos--better. What can't be captured is the gracious reception, hospitality and practical accessibility of Enzo (property manager) and Georgio and Lucia (owners). We have rented many houses and apartments in Europe and this is our favorite. The kitchen and dining room(s) are remarkably well-equipped: we shopped at the wonderful market in Ortygia and cooked every night; what a joy to have all the cooking and dining utensils needed (weak link in other places we have stayed). Wi-fi worked great, especially considering how remote the house is. The only drawback is the ride up the mountain to get to this uniquely beautiful home: slow, blind switchback ascent may not be for everyone. Once we got used to it ("beep beep" warning around the curves) it got easier--and adventurous drivers (I'm an old far), may actually like it. Thank you, Enzo, Luana, Georgio and Lucia for an extraordinary week. We'll be back!
