Idyllically tucked away in the village of Bacton, this fabulous home away from home has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 7 guests. Pilgrims Rest Cottage is a beautiful flint property situated next to the remains of the Priory of Bromholm. The distinctive archway of the North gate ruins is in close proximity of the cottage itself!
It’s an ideal location for a Norfolk coastal break with the cottage being just a 5-minute walk to the beach. Other popular North Norfolk destinations such as Mundesley and Cromer are both within easy reach, whilst the market town of North Walsham is approximately 10-minutes’ drive away.
Parking is available outside the property.
THE SPACE
Pilgrims Rest Cottage has undergone a full refurbishment in 2021! A traditional cottage lovingly designed with a modern interior; guests will enjoy the best of both worlds.
The cottage features a king-sized bedroom, a family room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed and a third bedroom with 1 single bed. The property can accommodate an additional guest with use of a Z bed (please request this if required at the time of booking). All rooms have been carefully furnished to a high standard.
The living room offers a large corner sofa with a wall mounted smart TV that provides streaming favourites such as Netflix and Amazon Prime (guests will need to use their own logins).
Adjoining the living room is large and spacious kitchen, meticulously designed to a high spec with many modern appliances including dishwasher and washing machine. A large dining table and chairs is available, great for those hearty family meals.
The property features two bathrooms, one with large rainfall shower and the second with shower over bath.
The garden is a lovely, enclosed area that includes a firepit, beanbags, outdoor table and chairs with parasol and for those lovely days in the sun, a BBQ!

Really enjoyed the location and the house itself.
Access to everywhere was really easy. The house suited 4 adults of 3 generations

Perfect location
Great property, perfect for our little stay. Amazing location, fantastic beaches and wonderful walks all so close. Plenty of room for all four of us and our dogs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the North Norfolk coast and beyond. The one tiny thing I would suggest is having a radio. I forgot to take one and there isn't one in the property. I would return here, for sure!!

Great cottage . Wonderful to be so near the amazing beach. Restaurants were in short supply.
We had a wonderful stay in Pilgrims Rest. Very clean and well equipt. . Myself and my family had a very relaxed time. It was absolutely great for our dogs , having the secure garden to play I .

Property is good, overall clean but a few niggles. One photo on advertisement i
must be for another property as it is not there (garden with summerhouse). Very dirty rug in living room and realised this was because it moves when stood on so drinks get spilled. Empty bottles of hand soap with sanitizer given instead of soap. No dishcloth to wipe sides. Main light in bedroom not working. Sofa is grubby, all soft furnishings including cushions could do with a clean there was a smell of dogs throughout. Otherwise pleasant location and good property, beds comfortable, ample parking and good quality items, just needed a few tweaks which were fed back to agent.

Great Property
Excellent property in great location. In pretty village close to beautiful, quiet, Sandy beach and great for exploring local area. Property was very clean, renovated to high standard and fully equipped with everything required for our short stay. Plenty of access to parking outside property. Booking and access to property very straightforward. Hope to book for longer break in future.

Perfect Little Cottage
Beautiful little cottage, very well equipped (even buckets and spades and outdoor toys for the kids), spotlessly clean, and with lovely, comfy beds. Only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and with a gorgeous little vegan cafe round the corner (we're not vegan but the food was lovely). For a small village, there are quite a lot of facilities - shop with cash point, chinese restaurant, fish & chip shop, pizza/kebab takeaway and a couple of pubs doing food overlooking the sea. Only downside was trying to get out through the next village (Walcott) - cars parked along one side of the road made it really difficult to get through, and that was out of season.
