"There’s no way we can adequately describe how wonderful a place this is! My husband’s first words were how big the cabin is. Pictures don’t do it justice. It is obviously beautifully and very thoughtfully laid out. There’s the sleeping area, but also a whole living room space as well. We had a good time reading, playing guitar and studying in front of the beautiful window! Loved that we could get up and make a cup of coffee right away without leaving our cabin. "wonderful house and pool. Unfortunately, you do not have a clear view of the lake from the house. Numerous trees obscure the view. If you walk down to the boathouse, then you can see the lake. Also, bring everything you need. There aren't any grocery stores nearby. (20 min) They do not provid beach towels. The house is not equiped for young children."

Lakefront Log Cabin on Beautiful Kerr Lake in downtown Clarksville VA

"Property was exactly as listed. It sits on the end of a quiet street with a dog park enclosure directly across the road and a fenced in private yard for anyone with 4 legged friends. The owners have a large beautiful sitting area between the main house and the cottage that is available to use. It has comfy chairs, wind chimes, grill and bar access. It was a nice place to sit, look out over the water and just relax. The house is a short walk, bike ride or drive into town. The music from Buggs Island Brewery can be softly heard at night from the enclosed back porch on the house. If you have a boat, docking is convenient just down the hill from the main house . A little cove for swimming is available as well, though the water was about 5 feet down during our visit ,leading to more than usual visible lake debris. This is part of vacationing on Buggs Island though, the water fluctuates. I would definitely stay here again. The owners were prompt at communication, the property was clean and had everything you might need. It was a wonderful visit to Clarksville.."

"We had a great time at the Executive Mansion with our family of 24 people. The house was very spacious and the amenities were great. Having a pool was a definite plus and it got a lot of use. The kitchen had just about everything we could need and made meal prep very easy. We rented the boat and went fishing almost every day. We caught more fish on this trip than any other vacations we have been on, and we didn’t even have to travel that far from the house.We had a few minor issues, but the home owner was very responsive in addressing them. When you spend as much as we did on a vacation property you expect everything to be perfect. However, it’s a rental property, so it’s going to show some signs of wear and tear. Did any of these issues detract from our overall experience? Not really, so I’m not going to dive into the specifics. Would we go back? Our group likes to try different places each time, but if we were to go back to Lake Gaston, the Executive Mansion would definitely be on the list."
