"This property is magical! It was truly a wonderful retreat that was exactly what we needed. There are very comfortable seperate suites, the patio is beautiful, there's tons of parking and the furniture and decor in every room is so thoughtfully done. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay there again without hesitation. "

"Great property with ac and heat and also wood burn stove! Big rooms nice beds, fantastic for groups of at least 12 people. Nice outside deck, pool table and ping pong! Everything clean. Bring ziplock bags though as there is nothing to store unused food. Easy hike to river but check for ticks after hike - had a couple. "

"Very nice cabin , pretty clean except stove had layer of grease on it from someone’s bacon and dishwasher was full of dishes unknown if clean so we ran dishwasher again. No blow dryer as the site listed. Otherwise great place and hope to rent again next year ! Thanks! "

"I just stayed for one night- visiting family. The family was friendly and also gave me space. My favorite thing was the pond, with many koi fish. My area included a bedroom , bathroom with sauna, and a rec room with a giant tv, treadmill, ping pong table and fooz ball table. The bed was very comfortable and the night was peaceful. I would visit again."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."
