This was my first experience with a hostel and it was very enjoyable staying here. Having the ability to cook my own food is great. The location is great, so close to the beach. A target and CVS is in close walking distance. The transit system is quite effective too. The front desk staff is great and full of great recommendations.

Great place to stay! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, and there was lots of room to bump around in your room. We'd definitely stay there again. Contactless check in so we didn't deal with any staff per se....That being said, the check in was very convenient and super easy.

Great, simple stay

Room was clean and well maintained. 20 minutes walk to conference center.

I had a great time at HI New Orleans! It was my first time in a hostel and I was apprehensive about the privacy and the "have my stuff stolen" aspect. The beds had a curtain and the locker was big enough that I could put both my luggage and my backpack in it, so no problem there. Every thing was kept very clean: the beds, the rooms, the bathrooms, the lobby downstairs, etc...The location is great as it is close to the FQ, the CBD and the main streetcars. The staff was also helpful when needed. I...

amazing vibe at this hostel.

Great area, clean and close to amenities

staff is very well

Cute hostel close to the beaxh

Stayed a total of 3 nights, solo traveller. I felt very safe there - need your key card to even enter the lobby and then again the elevators. Everything was neat and clean. Rooms and facilities were spacious. Lockers could easily hold luggage and there was more space beneath the bed. It is located right by the train so you do hear it when it passes by. This never bothered me but I know it would others. Would definitely book again when coming back to Chicago.

Met some super lovely people and the hot tub was excellent

Everything great. Except that the mattress was too soft for me.
