The Space:

Welcome to Rivers Edge Lofts!



These cozy upstairs lofts are located in Niles, Michigan by the river. This listing is for Loft 5 in our 10-loft building. Enjoy a stay in this cozy studio unit located by the river, this unit does not have a view of the river. Tastefully decorated throughout with lots of extra touches and amenities not usually found in short-term rental homes. Rivers Edge Lofts are ideal for guests looking to travel and visit Michigan or for long-term stays. Rivers Edge Lofts are centrally located to tourist attractions, wineries, and various universities. Close to highway US-31 with easy access to major attractions such as Notre Dame or southwestern MI beaches; also close to airports for a quick business trip.



Not only is Rivers Edge Lofts conveniently located to various activities but close access to grabbing a bite to eat. Take a 1-minute drive to downtown Niles to check out the local restaurants and relish a relaxing stroll along the river. The entire home is for your private use with an easy self-check-in process to accommodate various arrival times. There is a private entrance with your own access code that will function between your check-in and check-out times.



Come back after a great day of exploring and enjoy the comfort and warmth of your own place. Access to a mini fridge and microwave within the unit. Washers and dryers, coffee makers, and a toaster are located in the shared common area within the complex. Sleeps 4 comfortably, the loft bed is a queen size bed and the bedroom has a queen bed. Completely remodeled unit with all the latest designs. Guests will find the space to be warm, comfortable, and inviting and the hosts to be responsive and diligent to provide an excellent stay for each guest. Here on a business trip; work in comfort with the fast fiber-optic internet service, 500 Megabit (Wi-Fi only, no ether-net port). There is no additional charge for this service. You can also enjoy the communal coffee bar while at Rivers Edge Lofts!

The host was helpful and kind through the process of booking and checking in and out. This is a cute and unique family excursion for visiting family in the area. Or to enjoy a quiet get away. We will definitely look to this unique stay over chain hotels in the future.

First, the property was awesome. Not only was it just as described in the listing, but once we actually arrived, we found that there were a lot of things about it that we're even better than we could have anticipated (like the beautiful common areas with tables, coffee, etc., and banks of laundry machines that proved invaluable). Also, we had some questions when we first arrived, and even though it was late, the customer service was responsive, friendly, and super helpful. The entire booking experience was very professional and friendly. The room was also reasonably priced, especially for a game day weekend, and it's in a pretty great location. It was pretty easy to get to campus, which was about 20 minutes away. We will definitely stay here again the next time we make a trip to ND.
The room when we arrived - it was perfect, as good or better than we expected (blurred out my kid laying on the couch).
The common area - it was beautiful and SO helpful and nice to have (again, blurred out my kid).

An excellent unit and a comfortable unit. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Spacious bathroom and superb rainfall showerhead. Minor issues: Acquiring accurate door codes; lots of lights, but the unit and workspace are quite dim.

Our stay was lovely. The room was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was that the outlet closest to the window by the bed was not working, and one of the shower heads had rust and calcium deposits. Other than that, it was great.

We thought the decor and cleanliness of the unit was good. Things that need attention:1. Steps up to the loft area (upper level) are irregularly cut and will cause an accident. 2. No exhaust fan in bathroom which may not comply with building code. 3. The bathroom door is attractive; however, it does close not properly. Limited privacy in bathroom. When door is open it covers up a light switch which is available for electrical items such as power cords. 4. No light switches in loft area. In our opinion, the unit is not accommodating for parties greater than 2 visitors. The cost is high compared to the amenities offered.

The room is good for the price. Loved the big shower with two shower heads! My husband and I are used to a king bed, so sharing a smaller bed was a challenge. The second night I stayed in the loft, it was a thin mattress and I did not sleep that well. Last two nights I slept on the couch. It was pretty comfortable. I did not expect to have to lug our belongings up stairs. No elevator available. There were coffee makers and a toaster in the common area, but none in the room. The staff was helpful when we couldn’t enter the room with the given code. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed walking on the downtown Main Street just minutes from the room.

bathroom door hook

The only thing I would suggest is that you put a hook on the bathroom doors. They didn't stay together and a gap was a result. Limited the privacy. Otherwise, fantastic loft and experience.

Great basecamp for adventures and disconnection

Loved this place! It was just what I needed for a solo travel. The loft I stayed in was well designed and spacious. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was as big as two. I will definitely be looking this place up next time I need a bit of a solo getaway.

Perfect, cozy loft

We stayed as this location was close to the hospital where my sister was welcoming her new baby. It was cute and cozy and the cleaning crew was amazing! The place was spotless. Only downside was a couple of the electrical outlets weren't fully functional.

Great for the price!

All in all the room was great and for the price we paid, it was perfect. Niles is nothing to write home about and you have to figure a 20 minute+ drive to either South Bend or distilleries like Journeyman. The walls are really thin and so our neighbors kept us up a little. All in all though, it was a nice room at a great rate and made for an enjoyable weekend away. One suggestion would be that the house keeping not start until after checkout hours. Housekeeping was extremely noisy, knocking on doors and vacuuming at least an hour before the 10a checkout hour. It made you feel really rushed out.

Would Absolutely Stay Again

My wife, 2 daughters and I stayed here over the weekend and attended a Notre Dame football game. An easy 20 minutes to the Notre Dame campus. The place was extremely clean, comfortable and as advertised. Needed an extra towel, because we had 4 staying, & the owner got additional ones to us immediately. Owner was very welcoming and attentive. When we come back to our next game - this will be the place we stay…if available.

Charming Place!

I loved how this unit was decorated. The bathroom and shower were very spacious, and the rest of the open floor plan of this unit was nice too. It was a bit difficult to find because the unit is actually in a building where office space is below ,but it was still quiet. The property manager was very accessible by email and was responsive to any questions we had as well.
