The hotel itself has some very nicely styled and comfortable rooms. We had a room facing the road, which was loud with the balcony doors open but perfectly fine when closed; if we came again though we’d definitely specify the sea/garden view rooms for a more enjoyable balcony experience.
The resort as advertised is somewhat misleading however: The hotel does not have a pool (or at least it had the empty remains of what may have been a pool) and the complex it’s in is actually mostly private apartments. The advertised private beach is actually a separate enterprise, and was not even available at the time of our visit.
Big plus points, however, are it’s proximity to Nice airport; I walked to/from the airport in 15 minutes; the location on the promenade of St Laurent du Var with its huge selection of bars and restaurants, and to the Cap 3000 shopping mall.
I’d like to give a special mention to Swann who was running the bar of the hotel (Le Sloop) : She was particularly friendly, welcoming and chatty with all the customers who came in the bar, the likes of which I’ve not seen before on any of many visits to France. Excellent service, a real asset to the hotel!
