Renovated, charming self-contained guest cottage in Old Town Niagara on the lake. The address is 428 Simcoe Street. License number 027-2022\. The cottage is surrounded by lovely gardens and is scented with its many roses. There is a secluded garden in the back, with patio furniture and barbecue. Our cottage contains one bedroom with a queen-size en-suite and access to a patio garden. The bathroom is equipped also with a washer and dryer. A full-size kitchen with all stainless steel appliances includes a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and much more. The living area has a fireplace, comfortable sofa-bed, two love seats, cable TV/DVD, W5 internet connection, air-conditioned, and cathedral ceilings throughout. The property is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and theaters. It is 0.7 kilometers from the town center. The cottage is smoke-free and children are welcomed. Our one-bedroom cottage can accommodate up to 4 people, 2 adults, and 2 children. One bedroom with queen size bed and armoire, ensuite bathroom, and access to the garden. The living room can accommodate the two other guests on a comfortable pull-out sofa-bed. A fireplace is in the living room. It is the perfect size for the two of us. We love sitting on the back patio and eating dinner out there when the weather cooperates. The gardens surrounding the house are wonderful. We love the location. The neighborhood is very pedestrian friendly and it is only about a 15 minute walk to the river. It is close to wineries, downtown and the Shaw festival. In a larger home you would call it a "great room", but the front door led us to the kitchen / TV room / lounge where everything was in arm's reach. I enjoyed the \~15 minute walk to downtown NOTL and met someone giving free walking tours of the area. This was unexpected and very interesting. Saturday morning at 10am. Dinner at Trius winery was lovely. We spent many hours at the Niagara Power Station having a guided tour in the afternoon and returning for the creative show “Currents”.
