Very nice view but I wouldn’t exactly call that a grill. We loved the seclusion and the hot tub. The only surprise we had was the people that parked at the cabin to walk down to another location that we did not realize was there. Overall very pleased and would come back again.

This cabin has a million dollar view!
Tammy was such a wonderful host, cabin was cute and clean with great accommodations, we had a wonderful time. Loft area was small, best suited for kids. Nice place to relax and have a campfire.

Great solitude away from city
The MOST important thing to add here is beware of the roads to the cabin site. You MUST have a 4WD or a Front WD to make it up to the cabin. Once you are there, the views are breathtaking and its extremely private and peaceful. The cabin is well stocked with what you need for your stay; just bring your groceries. There is an added bonus at the top of the mountain; the Peace Pagoda. Its currently under construction but worth the hike up the mountain. Hike in the afternoon because the air quality is much better and be prepared when hiking anywhere in the area the trails are moderately challenging due to the steepness. Also, be sure to text for garbage pick-up because there are some bears in the area. We chose to take it when we left each day. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and the privacy!

This was a cute and cozy cabin situated on a mountainside with a great view. You will definitely need 4WD to get to it, but is worth the drive. The hot tub is large enough for several people, and the view from the porch is excellent. Great for a relaxing getaway.

Rustic and peaceful
The cabin was perfect for what we wanted. It was very quiet and peaceful to be out in the mountains. The cabin was awesomefor the price we paid. Great for 2-4 people, smaller cabin. The loft area is mainly just sleeping quarters. The roads leading up to the cabin are rocky back roads, better with AWD or 4 wheel drive. We did manage with FWD. The best part was to be able to take a nice hike to the Peace Pagoda, which is absolutely beautiful and a must see. Travel to Galinburg or Pigeon Forge takes about 45 minutes, which was perfectly fine with me...mostly back curvy roads with beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for allowing and sharing your cabin home with us!!!

BEST TRIP OF MY LIFE!!!
The property was a little difficult to find, but that’s because of how secluded it is. Once we found it, it was really simple to remember! ALSO I GOT ENGAGED ON THIS TRIP!! My fiancé proposed to me at the Peace Pagoda which is right up the hill from this cabin. I wish I could add pictures to this review to show how incredible the view really is from this cabin. I highly recommend this cabin for couples!!

Beautiful “Tiny” cabin!
The view was fantastic everything was cleaned and organized! It’s perfect for a minimalist stay! We didn’t get a chance to go to the Peace Pagoda near by but plan to return for a visit! The only thing I wish we were aware of is the rough road on the way up. We have a 4 door sedan that still made it up there to the cabin luckily we’re used to that kind of thing where we live. Otherwise we have absolutely no complaints! We enjoyed our stay!

If you read the description and enough of the reviews, then you should know exactly what this place is. It's a small cabin, remotely located halfway up a mountain. It is an adventure to find the cabin. You don't need 4 wheel drive, but I would highly recommend trying to get there when the sun is still out. This place is very private with an incredible view. As an adult, I would not want to sleep in the loft area, but my kids thought it was an adventure and loved it. It's about an hour drive to the Pigeon Forge area, so if you want to do the touristy stuff every day, then this might not be what you want. I would say this is for the couple or family that just wants to get away from everything and get some piece and quiet. With the hot tub, fire pit, and hiking trail (and they are a hike) this place is a good find.

Nestled in the woods with a gorgeous view
We came up to get married and our stay was fantastic. Plenty of good flicks to watch if you are chilling in the cabin even a board game, a deck of card, and a record player with some VERY old albums…(bring some of your vinyl). Everything was as expected and better. Thank you for making our special weekend just that much more special!

We had a few issues with the cabin when we arrived. First, the water did not work. We contacted Tammy and within an hour, maintenance was there to diagnose the problem. Turns out the water pump burned out, but they had it fixed before we went to bed the same day. The next day, the oven went out. They replaced it the same day. Brand new oven installed. We will be back to stay next year. We really enjoyed it. A couple things for future guests: the shower is very small- if you are tall you might have trouble showering, but it can be done. The loft has really low ceilings- our kids loved it but it was not comfortable for adults. The cabin is cozy- more than 4 people would be really crowded. The mountain is steep- a car can make it but 4WD/AWD makes it much easier. The hiking trails are the driveways up and down the mountain- they are really steep, so bring hiking shoes.

Short Stay in the Smokies
This cabin met our needs perfectly. We were looking for a secluded location away from the tourist areas and this fit the bill. There were plenty of rustic roads and hiking trails to explore with our dog, including a hike up to the Peace Pagoda. We enjoyed taking a break from technology. The road up to the cabin is steep and we came in after dark and the cabin was hard to locate due to lack of GPS, however the owner was so nice to call us after we messaged her at midnight and helped us find our way. This is definitely a cabin for people looking for a more rustic, laid back experience.

Amazing getaway in the mountains 🥰
This cabin and the location was perfect for our mini family outing. It is cozy and super cute! And it has all the necessities, plus a fun hot tub! We were able to walk some trails around and enjoyed the peace of the area. Ms Tammy and Mr Sam were very quick to communicate and very accommodating. Our family had an awesome time. Some driving areas are steep so it was helpful to have a 4wheel drive car. Overall, memorable experience for our whole family 💕

Rats
This was a nice little place, it has the potential to be 5 stars. But we listened to rats in the walls all night, all of the vents in the cabin were clogged up with lint, there wasn't many towels and only two rolls of toilet paper. Before we went to sleep, we checked the door and windows to see if they were locked, almost every single window was unlocked. The upstairs loft is so much smaller than the ad makes it seem. Most people can't even sit up straight without hitting the ceiling. The whole advertisement has flaws all throughout it. And the cabin is NOT secluded whatsoever, from other cabins to park rangers lurking around for no reason.

Regarding the negative review. Our team was not aware of these issues during the guest stay, we would have most definitely taken care of any rodent problem that was at the cabin. There is a parking spot for another cabin, the other lodge is over 300 feet (ca. 91 m) away, and is not visible. Park Rangers? This cabin sits next to 600,000 acres of Cherokee Forest. Each one of our guest is significant to us, and we work hard for a peaceful stay for all guests. Regards Tammy Jean

Enjoyed the beautiful scenery!! Very peaceful place to relax.
Need a place to decompress and get away from the rest of the world then this would be the place. If you enjoy the outdoors and to relax around the fire I would suggest to bring a couple of bag chairs. Otherwise cabin has all the basic kitchen equipment to cook and make your stay pleasant.

The little cabin was so adorable! The view was amazing. It was just the right amount of space for my family. The loft is very short so even my toddlers had to crouch down but they still loved sleeping and playing up there. The cabin cannot be found with gps. However, the instructions given by the hosts with the photos were very helpful! We only stayed two nights but did not want to leave.

Nice little retreat in the mountains.
Host was very friendly, and easy to work with. Cabin was clean upon arrival and as stated in the description. Gps will not take you to the exact location, so make sure you understand the directions in description. The road is rocky and a bit steep, but enjoyable to drive leading up to the cabin. What a great place to stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Cute cabin
Cute little cabin for two. There were beds for more but it would have been tight with more people. Mountain views were great, but sunset was behind the trees. Clean. Great hosts. Driveway was difficult, but doable even with our small car. A great stay in the Smokies.

Stunning View, Cute Cabin, perfect for 2-3 people, but loud water pump
This property was beautiful! Green for as long as the eye can see. The cabin is little, but perfect for 2-3 people. Pros: Stunning view Cute cabin exactly as shown on the website Responsive hosts Clean Dishes, cookware, linens & towels included Cons: Extremely loud water pump that kicks on as soon as someone turns on the water. It’s about as loud as an older garbage disposal. Really annoying especially at night. Super short shower. I’m 5’2” and the shower hit me in the lower chest. Overall, a great little getaway that could be perfect with just a few improvements.

Wonderful stay in the Smokies
Cabin is ideal for two people or a couple with two kids. The view from the porch was breathtaking and we spent a lot of our time on the porch taking in the beauty of the Smokies. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and eell stocked. The day we left we were awoken buy a black bear raiding our trash can. Would definitely visit again.

Simply Great!
My husband, son, and I were very happy with this rental. It was stocked with everything needed for the 2 days we were there. The hot tub was immaculate! The linens were clean, and smelled fresh. The main bedroom mattress was so comfortable! We were entertained with a variety of DVDS, and all were FAMILY oriented! The fire pit was perfectly set up. Yes, we will have to admit, the ride up to the cabin was a little scary, due to the incline, and gravel road, but we would not let that stop us from renting again. I only add this part to the review, so others can plan ahead their form of transportation.

I wanted to like it.
I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I was hit with many woes while staying here. 1. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this place was not cleaned. >Dust was so thick on the chairs in the kitchen and the rocker in the living area that it piled up on my hand when I touched them. >The throw blankets were COVERED in animal hair. I tried to cover up and watch a movie only to find my clothes covered in animal hair from the throw that clearly had not been washed. The main bed was decently clean, though I feel as if that was by pure luck as when I checked the blankets on the beds in the loft they were also covered in animal hair. 2. I have paid significantly less ($40-$50 per night less) for much cleaner and well thought out stays. 3. The horrendous road should absolutely be something that is pointed out and well understood BEFORE booking or the owner should make it a point to have that conversation and offer those with small cars the opportunity for a refund. It should NOT be a surprise when you are driving up the road and see signs that say 4wd/awd only. The alignment that I now have to get for my vehicle speaks for itself. 4. I did enjoy the location despite the road up to it. The only complaint I have regarding placement of the cabin is that it is marketed as rustic and secluded, yet you are bombarded by traffic driving by the cabin all day. If I wanted that, I wouldn't have paid for a getaway and just stayed at home. 5. A map of the property should be provided before arrival so that you know where the trails, common areas, etc. are located.

Hello Brian we have received your review. Our dedicated housekeeper did clean and disinfect this cabin and the throw blankets were fresh. We had two persons over look these issues after we received your unfair review and did not see the issues you described. Even the mountain road is in good shape. You absolutely do not need a four-wheel-drive to make it to this cabin. As far as the traffic driving by all day that should not have been an issue. Although there is a parking spot for another cabin that is distantly located from Rustic. The road down by this cabin is accessible only by ATV that sits next to the Cherokee Forest over 600,000 acres. We are disappointed you did not enjoy your stay and did not contact us directly we were only a phone call away. TheStuetzTeam

Fall get away
This is our second time at this location. This cabin has the best views even though it is small. It was perfect for 2 people. We had everything we needed, a full kitchen and grill. Shower is very short for those 6ft or taller. There is another cabin down the hill and they park in front of this cabin. It is still very private. The owners and staff drive by the cabin in the morning to check on things, everyone was very nice.

Another amazing experience!
This is my second year in a row booking with Sam and Tammy, and it was absolutely wonderful as expected. This cabin is set in a truly beautiful and tranquil spot, and has everything you need to cook meals, have a hot shower, and a good night sleep. Not to mention a hot tub, fire pit, and stunning views! The drive up to the cabin can be a bit scary, but I made it up in a front wheel drive Honda CRV no problem. I would suggest getting groceries beforehand, so you don't have to make extra trips. This cabin is also ~35 mins drive from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Smokey Mountains National Park. Tammy and Sam are lovely, accommodating, and kind people, and both my stays have been some of the best vacations I have ever been on. I looking forward to coming back next year.

We love the location & the scenery was gorgeous!! The cabin was nice and clean hot tub was the cleanest we've ever had!! The owners were so helpful and friendly. We had some trouble finding the cabin and Tammy took her time to lead us to it. They also invited us to the music barn where local entertainment was awesome. There was great food great fun great music. We'd definately stay again!

A front wheel drive car or 4WD / AWD are just fine. When arrived at the cabin you will be on top of the mountain with amazing views of the GSMNP

Wonderful view & comfy cabin!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was spotless and the pictures accurately represented the cabin. The view was even better than we had hoped for. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and we also grilled out. We loved that the area was quiet and private. Sam and Tammy were great hosts and we enjoyed chatting with them. I would highly recommend this cabin and we will definitely stay again when we are in the area!

My stay was great. My husband and I had a little trouble finding the cabin and went to the wrong cabin. This cabin was also owned by Tammy and her husband. Tammy was there and got on her 4 wheeler and escorted us to the right cabin. The cabin had all of the supplies that we we needed and had a perfect view of the mountains. The only problem I had was that the one night I chose to use the hot tub, I could not adjust the temperature. The temperature gauge just kept flashing between 75 and 90 degrees, so I’m not sure what the water temperature was. I know if I had called the owners, they may have been able to help but I didn’t want to take the time to go back in the cabin while wet and cold to get the phone number. I would stay again, because my husband loved the seclusion and the view.

Once again absolutely loved our stay. We spent out anniversary at one of the other cabins last year and want more space, was everything we wanted and the view was breathtaking at sunset. The hot tub clean and worked like a charm, everything we wanted. Can't wait to come back!

Secluded with beautiful views!
The cabin was well kept, stocked with essentials and clean... view of the mountains is amazing and the hot tub was a welcome retreat after a hard day of hiking. One morning when leaving there was a very large rock that had fallen onto the drive...the staff were prompt in responding to our call and removing the rock to allow passage. The only thing that I could say negative is the signage does not exactly get you to the cabin. Perhaps just a sign or two more. The staff however did help us out and got us to our cabin. The location is within 30 minutes to Gatlinburg, and other nearby towns and a nice scenic drive. The driveway is bumpy but easily accessible with an AWD vehicle. All in all we had a great week here and would definitely stay again! Thank you Stuetz family!

Great stay!
I loved my stay at this small cabin! While the drive up was a little stressful, it was totally worth it. The view was amazing from the cabin and you can tell that Tammy and Sam have put a lot of effort into making their properties a great place to stay! I also enjoyed exploring the Peace Pagoda at the top of the mountain. This cabin's driveway is directly off of the road leading up to the Peace Pagoda, right before the road gets too steep for anything other than AWD vehicles. We were able to walk there from our cabin relatively quickly! It took us about 15 minutes to walk, but I guess the time just depends on how many times you have to stop to catch your breath, lol.
