Super cute place, if you love being In a hallmark movie you will love this place. Each room is named after a celebrity guest, Paul Newman, Tom Cruise...the restaurant was great, got free appetizers and breakfast included. Staff are very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay even if for 1 night.
The room we stayed in was one of the nicest we have ever shared at an inn. Everything was lovely, neat, clean, well thought out, luxurious but not ostentatious. The grounds are lovely. We would recommend it to friends and hope to spend time there again.
I stayed 4 nights in room 12. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable as well. The room and the hotel were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast during the week is just coffee and bread/pastries with a couple of cereal options. Would’ve loved a waffle option. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever in VT again. Highly recommend.
It was a short stay but an awesome one. Newfane is a quaint area. The room itself was beautiful. It was nice and quiet; didn’t hear others. Very clean. Would loved to have stayed longer. A little pricey but then it again it was a last minute booking and also peak foliage season.
My stay was wonderful. Great accommodations, friendly and helpful staff, the pub downstairs was perfect to grab a quick bite and a drink. I will be staying again next time I am in the area
This place is absolutely fantastic! Everything in this hotel has been thoughtfully planned, and the attention to detail is impeccable. From the moment you walk in, you notice how clean and welcoming it feels. The beautiful scent throughout the hotel makes you feel comfortable and right at home.
The location is also incredible. Behind the hotel, there is a charming little beach area where the river flows, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The garden is absolutely beautiful and adds so much to the overall experience.
I truly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again and again without hesitation. This hotel is a special place, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
Great staff, fabulous rooms - spacious and loved the fireplace! Such a lovely spot - sitting on the porches and walking by the river was lovely. I can’t wait to go back!
enjoyed hot tub.
Slept really well, like I was in a real deep sleep.

Beautiful accommodations, wonderfully clean and a very excellent staff, both warm and professional. It is truly the quintessential Vermont setting. ENJOY!!! Rhett
I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.
Beautiful setting, lovely hotel that deserves a 5-star rating. Room was comfortable and cozy. 3-stars for the breakfast which was very disappointing given the price of the stay. Keurig machine rather than brewed coffee, packaged pastry items, whole fruit without an adequate knife for cutting. They really should do better.
Everything was pretty wonderful overall, the staff were helpful and super friendly, the grounds were so beautifully kept and enjoyable to explore, and the room was lovely. The only thing is recommend would be expanding the continental breakfast offerings just a small bit. There were no sweetnets for the coffee and the food choices were minimal, so I skipped that part.
