Where are the other people booked in the room supposed to sit when they aren't sleeping? VERY noisy from highway noise as we were assigned a room on that side of the building. I know the hotel is apparently "under renovation" but just about everything was run down, poorly designed, or simply in bad shape. After nearly 20 years we don't hike much anymore, we are more of a card playing group now! We enjoyed the space, the views, the location, and the accommodations in general. All of this prove to be important because it rained every day we were at Reelfoot Lake. Watching hundreds of pelicans, cormorants, coots, and various other ducks was an added bonus! We would definitely stay here again.
