"Buckler's Lodge is located right along the Crocodile River. We saw large herds of elephants each day we were there. We received excellent service from the staff and enjoyed clean and roomy accomodations."

"The location is wonderful with game regularly visiting the river from the Kruger opposite. When we arrived, about a dozen elephant were wading across and hippo were wallowing. The rooms each have their own private terraces where fires are lit each night, and open up into a lovely common area where birds and the 3 incumbent nyala are encouraged. "When we arrived we had food in the sister lodge next door 2 mins walk away but it was stunning. Braai buffet style. Then had dinner and breakfast as Muluwa on our last night as it was reopened with new management. Absolutely perfect. Cannot fault it. We paid for a couple of the excursions. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with one of the tours we booked, the places visited were great but the transport provided (given advertised as a luxury tour) was unacceptable, a rickety dirty taxi! The owner needs to take better ownership of this, we (group of 10) didn’t get a very good result when speaking to him of this. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Marloth Park Riverside lodge. It is located about 15min drive outside the KNP crocodile bridge gate. The food was just ok but the staff is absolutely fantastic. Everyone is so nice and so welcoming. There are only a few rooms in the property. The ground floor rooms are bigger. "We hired 2 chalets' no's 528 & 529. 528 was in good shape but 589 was not. The master bedroom carpets were dirty and the chalet needed painting. We paid for half board but found the food generally very poor. Breakfast was OK with eggs cooked while you waited, the sausages and bacon were good but there was little fresh fruit.
