A real haven right on 5th Avenue and an easy walk to the beach although you don’t need to walk as they provide a cart to take you. The pool area is great too and as there aren’t many rooms, it was easy to get comfortable sun loungers. I have stayed at major chain hotels all over the world and our stay at the Escalente was right up there with the best. The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Parking was easy and the free continental breakfast was superb. We loved our stay here so much! The service was top notch, the grounds were stunning and the rooms were big and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave. The only tiny thing that has room for improvement is the complementary breakfast as its fruit, yogurt, granola and bread every day. Any request was quickly accommodated. Menu items were plentiful and the food was delicious. We would make a few suggestions for areas of improvement. For the convenience of guests we would add liquor options as that felt somewhat limiting. The seating options were not the most comfortable in our suite. Overall bathroom cleanliness felt a touch off with hair and dust present on check-in. TV accessibility was limited and confusing to navigate.
