This modern take on a historical classic, built in the 1700’s, has all of today's amenities with the pleasure of being a piece of history. Its one-of-a-kind wall murals, wide pine floors and original fireplaces and mantels showcase its antique Nantucket charm. Michele’s home is beautifully decorated embracing the historical nature of the home while offering an elegant and comfortable ambiance to each room. We loved the cozy sitting area and kitchen where we started our days and often ended our nights. The living room was wonderful for family movie nights. The house itself, generous in size and appointments, is beautiful and historical. It features an enormous Colonial walk in fireplace, period wall paintings, and gorgeous exposed beams. The furnishings are elegant but comfortable for vacationers. We loved the large comfortable kitchen which is graciously stocked with every conceivable type of dish, platter, and cooking implement. The linens and towels are quite lovely as well. Finishing out the wonderful house was a large deck and a beautifully planted garden we all just loved wandering. The location of this house is absolutely perfect...close to town without being in the busy center. Finally, I want to note that the landlady, Michele, is a delightful woman who could not possibly be more helpful. This was the nicest vacation rental I have ever had the pleasure of using and I unreservedly recommend it. ##### Martha H. You can also walk to Brant Point and Jetties Beach. It was well supplied with towels and beach chairs. We loved the extensive book collection and comfortable living room.
