Please do NOT hit the Request to Book IF renting for something other than a Sunday to Sunday week or a Friday to Sunday non holiday weekend or a less than week rental not ending on a Sunday. We will need to custom quote you over email for anything else as the site ONLY shows the correct rates for a Sunday to Sunday rental or non holiday weekend rental. Walk to Main Street, ferries, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, liquor stores, Chicken Box, etc. and right on Beach Bus route. There’s 6 beds and a pull out sofa in the living room. Seating for 6 at dining room table and seating for 5 in living room sofas and more if you bring in dining room chairs. House is ideally located to take advantage of town restaurants and bars as well as the Chicken Box, grocery store, pharmacy, and is on the bus route for the beach. Only about 3 blocks to harbor, .4 mile to Boarding House, Pearl, 21 Federal/Ventuno and .4 mile in the other direction to Chicken Box, grocery store, liquor store, and .7 mile from the ferry. Changeover days for weekly rentals are Sunday, so our weekly rentals are Sunday to Sunday. House was upgraded / renovated in 2009 and 2016, and comes with all the kitchenware, towels, beds, mattresses, bedding, furniture, outdoor grill, paint inside and out, outdoor shower, etc. 41' plasma TV in living room with cable and internet access. Decorated in cute beach theme. 1 hammock in shaded area. There's room for parking one car/truck in the driveway as well as parking on the street that's diagonal from the house on York St. (Last we knew they let people park there as we see cars parked there often when we wrote this). House is located right at area nicknamed '5 Corners'. Check in time is 5:00 p.m., check out is 10:30 a.m. Simple cute house in FANTASTIC In TOWN location. House is 2 levels with the bedrooms all on second floor. Kitchen, laundry, bathroom, dining area, and living room on first floor. Fasted way to contact is through the email/contact owner on this site. Our standard lease is automatically accepted by renters who book online, must be signed and executed with 24 hours of booking (if not same day and prior to using house) with all payments processed and cleared before Tenants/Renters will be allowed on premises / in the house. Failure to do so will result in all monies paid by Tenant / Renter being forfeit as we cannot allow anyone to use the house without a lease and all payments clearing to protect ourselves and our tenants / renters. If you have questions on the lease please review it prior to booking as a request to book and booking through this site is final, there are no refunds as we're not a hotel that can quickly and easily rebook something etc. A SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED but the site doesnt charge your card for it up front, usually only charges your card later if a damage / extra cleaning claim is made. Highly recommend getting some type of travel insurance. Typically takes the cleaners / staff a couple weeks to get us their check out reports, can take longer is they're swamped to catch up on paperwork of houses need extra cleaning, have damage, etc. Just depends on how things are left and how busy they are. If renters clean the house and get up to do a few loads of laundry and clean some to leave it nice usually takes the cleaners 4-5 hours to make it truly ready for the next group after a family of 4\. If renters don't clean takes longer. Trash has to be separated from recyclables, recycling separated by each type as the island requires of everyone, laundry that's not done bagged properly, etc. A professional 3rd party cleaning company does the cleaning and they're meticulous to make sure our renters arrive to have a great first impression of the home. :) Please plan accordingly and pre-book/pre-pay for discounted cleaning rates in addition to the minimum charge we start with up front and the time needed for cleaning and budget for extra time to clean it as we don't include extra cleaning in our rent to keep it fair to everyone (those who clean well ahead of time get a smaller bill, those who don't get one for over the usual hours). We're not a full time agency, just homeowners with other full time jobs who rent out the house out ourselves at a discount to keep charges down for everyone. Mouse ran over sister while sleeping. It was insane! No window leading to cellar. Filthy coolers, and hammock. Exuberant amount of money for cleaning fees and rental. We have been coming to Nantucket for more than 20 years. The house was perfectly adequate and in great location to town . It is at a busy corner but one does not notice any of it when being inside. We took an Uber to jetties but one could have walked (30 min) . It’s a 10 minute walk to downtown and restaurants. House was very clean. Everything worked. There was enough space for a family of 6\. We loved the outdoor shower. Communication with the hosts was easy. ##### Jan D. Lots of beds in small rooms and furniture that is fine. Nothing is fancy, but it all works. The location is the busiest intersection on the island but having a fenced in yard with puppies was amazing - even if the traffic was loud. My only real issues are with the absurd cleaning fees, poor communication with the property owner and check-in process. We paid a lot for a cleaning fee in the original booking and I cleaned when I arrived because the kitchen and bathroom were not what I would have called clean. Unfortunately - to even be allowed to check-in I had to sign an absurd lease saying there was an additional “security deposit" and had to pay an additional fee in "extra minimum cleaning fees" to be given access to the property. The place was not big enough to ever have to pay someone the amount i did to even deep clean it, and given I had to clean upon arrival - absurd to have to pay someone to not do it for the next renters. I said I could clean myself but was told I had to pay the extra or not be allowed to go - WHILE I WAS ON THE FERRY. The other issue was all this back and forth via messaging was basically incomprehensible. Incomplete sentences, spelling mistakes etc. Very challenging to understand the what and the why. When we did arrive for check-in we had not yet been sent instructions and had to wait outside for over 40 minutes before the property owner finally sent us the access codes. It has everything that you could need for your trip; ample space, beautiful yard, grill, etc, but what really sets it apart is the incredible location of the house. It is easily walkable from town, and in close proximity to all of the shops and beautiful beaches. It also has a beautiful garden, and it has all of the amenities that you need in order to truly enjoy your trip. It also is able to sleep a lot of people, and everyone on our trip commented about how comfortable all of the beds were. On top of all of this, Bill is excellent to communicate and deal with. We were probably the biggest pain in the a\*\*\* guests of all time, calling Bill frequently etc, and he was incredibly nice all along, and did everything in his power possible to make sure that we enjoyed our trip. For that, I am incredibly grateful. This house was perfect for our large group. Our favorite part was the spacious yard and the outdoor shower was amazing! Bill was incredibly informative and helpful and always responded immediately! Such a quick walk to town - we walked to breakfast every morning, shopping in the afternoon, and to go out at night. Short ride to the beach. The fenced in yard was great for the dog, as well as a the outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. My friends and I rented this house for Memorial Day Weekend on Nantucket (Figawi!) and it was absolutely perfect for us. We secured the house back in December, and I had multiple conversations with the owner throughout the winter and he was always so responsive and helpful. Not only did he answer any questions about the house, but also gave us great suggestions on how to spend our time on the island, where to dine, etc.The house is in one of the most desirable locations on the island, and we were able to walk to town, which is where the majority of the restaurants, shops, and bars are located. There are also plenty of beds in the house, so we all slept comfortably. We also enjoyed the outdoor area - it has a great lawn and tables to sit around.
