Great Location
Very nice quiet room and hotel! Staff was very friendly. Would stay again, the only thing was the floor needed to be swept and mopped.

This little hotel is a hidden gem! We absolutely enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. Staff and room was fantastic! Bed was super-comfortable too.

All of the staff from the owners to the maintenance crew were extremely welcoming and friendly. The property was well kept and in a safe area. We often ate outside at the provided tables and chairs by the pool whenever we had takeout. The beach was across the street and a short walk away.

Room could have been cleaner. There was a pile of trash that we had to walk by everyday in one of the hallways and was still there when we checked out. Other than that it was a nice and quiet hotel. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach.

The area around the motel is very quiet and peaceful. The night I checked in there was an issue with the mattress but the gentleman at the front desk was super helpful and got me into another room in like 2 minutes. The pool was great, the staff was friendly and the rooms were spotless. Even the carpet was clean unlike many hotels/motels. I’ve been to myrtle beach several times and no matter how clean the rooms are, there’s always a film of sand on the floors. That was not true of this motel. I’ll definitely be back the next time I go the myrtle beach

The hotel itself was very nice! We had our deposit taken because they said it smelled like smoke but we never smoked in the room. We went to the designated area to smoke like we were asked to do. Would have loved to stay again but don’t want to risk getting out money taken over lie’s being told!

Plus: Nice redo of a fifties-style Myrtle Beach hotel. Minus: Housekeeping once for a one-week stay in a town taking zero other Covid precautions is a bad look.

I loved the bathroom, mainly the lighting and shower and hot water LOL. Most properties have poor lighting in the bathroom, the shower head pressure is low and the water gets cold after 20mins, but Holiday Shores was PERFECT.

Wasn't looking for a 5 star place to stay since we were not planning on spending time in the room. There could be some improvements but you get what you pay for. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. That was all we needed for a short stay.

Hotel was walking distance to beach, 1 block. Was a cute retro decorated theme, has been recently redecorated/updated. However, my TV remote was missing a battery in the bedroom, and the one in the living room did not have channels available that were listed on menu. The hot plate in room beeped all night, next day i told them something was wrong and kept me awake and maintenance did not figure out what it was, so i had to find the issue and let them know. They moved me to another room and that was much better but not every room is equipped equally. Bring your own dishes and flatware if you plan to use the kitchen. The internet displays bicycles for rent on site but there aren't any and the nearest bike rental place is 5 miles away.

This is a very cute place only about a block from the beach. My disappointment comes when I only stay there for 2 nights, barely spent any time at the motel other than to shower and sleep and they charge me $252 after I leave for “incidentals/damage”. There was nothing that we had done to this place. I even cleaned up by wiping counters down, making the bed, etc before I left as I do everywhere I stay. Because of falsely charging my credit card I would never stay here again or recommend this to anyone. The staff was very nice and friendly but I should not have been charged extra for no damages being done.

Good location, clean motel.
Showers are lovely in design but not in functionality. Water ends up everywhere on floor. Old motel that has been remodeled. Nice location.

I stayed here for my birthday for four days. I liked the hotel and staff they were courteous and helpful. My desire to be close to the beach and in walking distance. Also, the property is clean and nothing was broken in my room. No roaches only small spiders. Next, there is a small refrigerator but no microwave in the room. Housekeeping will only come if you request due to Covid. You can go to the front desk and request more towels and linen. The phone works in the room for calling if you need it. Very affordable and worth the money. Furthermore, the shower doesn't have a door in some rooms there is a glass with a opening where the door would be. You can close the door to the bathroom to keep the heat in. Lastly, the area around the hotel is residential it's quiet, and safe to walk at night. The property is close to a Food Lion Grocery Center, Dollar General, Chilis, and Blueberry Grill,etc,

Dirty Dirty Rude Charged Me Double
Hotel has been updated and appeared nice. Upon entering our room there was feces and urine all over the toilet, full trash, and a made bed with dirty sheets (stains and food). I called front desk at 9pm. They moved us to another room around 945. This room had a huge leak all over the kitchenette floor and inside the bathroom. Front desk called other hotels who were all booked. I was told no manager on duty and would need to wait until 7am to remedy the situation and no one at night is available to give a refund. The manager came to the hotel at 1115pm and had the nerve to ask me rudely what I expected her to do after she came in during her time off. She cleaned our first room (satisfactory) however we didn't get in it until 12am! 3 hours of being displaced which ruined our night. At 750am I returned keys and asked for the refund we had spoken of. I was told "I took $50 off your stay which is more than 25% off". I wasnt going to argue you with a poorly trained manager as this was the same manager who cleaned our room. She stated there was no one higher than her I could talk to. She argued with me and laughed in my face. I told her Id call their sister hotel and all of a sudden I received the name of Jamie and Doug who I could speak with. No numbers were given. Long story short I have 3 charges on my card and zero refunds. She needs fired as someone with her demeanor feels entitled to treat guest rudely. Zoom in on some of the pics.

The operation was a success but the patient Died!
Right now they are not providing room service as far as cleaning. When we arrived there were hairs in the sheets and they brought us new pillow cases and sheets and we had to change them ourselves. The rest of our stay they never came into my room to clean it. The place is so beautiful and I love the Retro vibe and it is newly renovated. Over all we are happy with our stay but they need to have a little bit better service cleanliness.
