This is a place to slow down, share the road with the occasional horse-drawn carriage, and explore the surrounding countryside. Taste your way along the Shawnee Wine Trail (three miles), visit loved ones at Southern Illinois University (five miles), or hike Little Grand Canyon (seven miles) or one of the many other trails close by. \-- THE PROPERTY -- Blue Line Resort is a lovely cabin community located about four miles south of downtown Murphysboro. The grounds are a delight to return to each afternoon, offering a small pond, a dock with built-in benches where you can drop a fishing line, a gazebo with a swing, and a firepit where you can gather for stories and stargazing each evening. Communal laundry facilities are available as well. This cabin sits at the edge of the pond - a view to take in as you sip your coffee on the covered porch each morning. Another deck, a gas grill, and a picnic table await out back, offering a wonderful setting for afternoon barbecues. The living space is full of familiar comforts, from the natural wood furnishings to the textiles inspired by the great outdoors. Prepare meals using the well-equipped kitchenette (complete with a fridge/freezer, a microwave, an air fryer, and double hot plates) and sit down to enjoy them at the windowside dining table. There was also a bug in the refrigerator and on the floor by the refrigerator and then another bug by the garbage can and there was dog food from previous people that wasn’t picked up also thought it was ridiculous at 830 in the morning there was a mowing crew outside that was woken up to on my vacation and I took pictures of it ##### Morgan H. AC and heat worked great. Cabin came fully stocked and was plenty spacious for the 3 of us. Managing company Vacasa was very responsive when responding to our inquiry. Would definitely stay again!! My only constructive comment would be to offer a small burner for the kitchenette and to post more amazing photos of the cabin, I was almost expecting a tiny little cabin and was pleasantly surprised to see how spacious the cabin actually was, it has a full sized bathroom and very large shower too! ##### Daniel A.
