Everything was almost perfect, place location super easy to get to city center, staff were super awesome, great breakfast, just the the sliding door to cover the window, great to have a porch. But the window cover doesn’t really block out the lights from outside. It gets really bright once your eye adjust to the dark.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. Firstly, it is very dirty. Dirty sofas and floors. And mouldy walls. I couldn't even sit on the sofa. I thought it was just the standard of the hotel for this price and I didn't realise it was the low standard of this hotel until I stayed in another hotel the next day for the same price. Secondly, they had a car park but when I arrived at 3 they said the car park was gone. I needed street parking and street parking can't be parked nearby, you need to cross another street. Also, street parking only accepts coins. But they didn't have any coins. I ended up parking on the street ten minutes away. I spent a lot of time changing coins just to park. Anyway, if you like clean rooms. You will be very disappointed with this hotel.

The hotel is well appointed, clean, and conveniently located for a fair price. The breakfast buffet is worth a try, especially if you're hungry and want a quick and big breakfast.

Shower has a full length window opening into room
Hotel had a beautiful courtyard. However, the shower set up was very poor. I was travelling with my spouse and two teenage daughters. The shower and toilet closet share a swinging door (which means only one can be used at a time). This was an annoyance but manageable. However, the worst part is that the shower has a full length clear window opening directly into the bedroom from the shower. This means that ANYONE taking a shower is fully exposed to the entire rest of the room. There was no easy way to cover it up and it meant no one felt comfortable showering. We ended up picking up one of the mattresses to block out the window each time someone needed to shower. Would not stay again.

The staff was overly accommodating, attentive, and friendly! They saw that we had big bags and were quick to help bring them up the stairs to our room. The garden of the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the entire place is quaint, quiet, and peaceful. The metro to the city was quick and super easy to navigate. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in paris! Just be aware, the building we stayed in had no elevator, which poses a problem for those with mobility challenges.

Comfortable Stay
We had an awesome stay here at the Hotel Gio. It is in a quiet area which is good but also very close to transportation and Marienplatz. The room is clean and comfortable with air-conditioning. Housekeeping is on request but free. Toby at the front desk was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful! His positive attitude definitely gave an overall great impression of the hotel and definitely rebooking if we go back to Munich.

We booked this hotel as we arrive at the airport. Price was great for a last minute booking. The room was clean, and quiet. I would stay here again. PS. The cookies at the front desk are delicious

Great location close to the center for Munich. Clean hotel and the staff was very nice and helpful. They have parking on site for 18€ however it is very compact and tight!

Staff was helpful and amenable. Breakfast buffet plentiful and tasty. Our room had only a louvered door to the shower--slightly awkward. Room small by US standards, but we were only there to sleep and shower, so not a deal-breaker.

Gio was perfect for my needs in that it was a great location and quiet and easy to access. Amenities were noticeably Spartan, with a single liquid soap for all needs (hand hair body) and very scant towels of the un-fluffy kind. The room was more than comfortable for one person but would probably require very close couples to share. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again, but at a budget price only.

Quiet and comfy
Hotel Gio was a great location and quiet. It was a small room but the beds were comfortable, and the pillows were good too. We just stayed a couple of days, the three of us and it was perfect for our trip.

Nice, cute hotel, with an Italian theme. Aesthetically pleasing decor and comfortable bed. Great location. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Quite close to city center. About a 1-minute walk to Goetheplatz U-Bahn station (U3 and U6 lines).

The property was grand however I had booked and paid for a 3 bed triple room. However due to our late arrival because of flight delays when we checked, which was labourious to say the least. Firstly the 2 men on reception couldnt find my booking, then they allocated me a room only to change it. The room we were finaly allocated was clearly suitable for only 2 persons. I raised this issue with the nale reception staff who said they could not help or find additional bedlined. In the morning I raised my concerns with a female receptionist who sorted everything out. But I requested a refund of the difference between a triple and double room from the hotel in writing, twice but received no response. This is the sole reason for my overall rating.
