"You have to accept that you will hear the traffic from the rooms at least on the 9th floor. It's a busy hotel. Clearly popular hotel. So be prepared to wait when you order anything. It's a beautiful hotel. But it's not quiet. Yes they could do some of the smaller things better. But you will enjoy your stay. Plentiful breakfast with a very varied selection from around the world. "Room was clean, shower had good pressure and it was relatively quiet considering the volume outside. Staff was helpful, easy check in and check out. Only downside, both me and my husband got horribly sick from the food after our first meal there (didn't eat anywhere else, it was our first meal after arriving in India)and have now spent the last 3 days with bad diarrhea and vomiting."

Maybe that's why tour groups are bused in for lunch or dinner from modern more familiar hotels who shy away from the unfamiliar.
