"They had a very inviting environment in the lobby. Someone had taken time to bring in fresh flowers and "spruce" the place up. Actually, it was kind of eerie because there were so many flowers... almost a funeral home motif. Needless to say, it smelled very nice and looked quite clean. The desk clerk was either training or learning a new system, but attended to us promptly and had us on our way to the room in a few short minutes. The room was nice and clean, didn't smell of bleach (like some motels do) and everything worked from the AC to the shower without any issues. Such a nice place and right next to both a bar & grill and a gas station... so it was quite easy to fill-up in either of the categories you choose. The "continental" breakfast wasn't what we expected, as there were minimal choices for their spread.... coffee was readily available... thankfully. Nice, clean, and comfortable.... so it wasn't a 5 star and it definitely wasn't a 1 star.... my grade would be 3.5 stars."

"Overall, it was a very clean and nice place! Advice to upcoming renters, the water has a lot of iron in it so bring some some gallons for coffee, brushing teeth, etc., Otherwise super easy and beautiful view!"

"We were met with a dog odor on first entering the property.The odor dissipated during the week--via indoor air handler?!There were two bags of dog poop left on the porch.The bed was clean and comfortableThe yard was beautiful and inviting."
The fishing is great! Trails are close by. Enjoy summer in the Northwoods!
