My daughter attends Cornell College and this is my third visit to Mount Vernon and my second visit to this Sleep Inn. I'll book a room at this hotel every chance I get to visit. Front desk is always great and the hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient. Terrific experience.

We had a very good stay. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the bed was comfortable compared to most hotel beds. Everything was easy and pleasant, and I would stay here again.

Staff was friendly, just seemed like they were all stretched too thin in their other duties to help anyone in a timely manner. Pool area wasn’t terrible, but it definitely looks like it needed some attention. Breakfast was really good.

Funny smell in hotel and very musty/mildew smell in our room. Room seemed to be from a/c,but not sure. There were some new a/c units still in the box in the lobby so maybe they are making fixes? Bedding was clean and bed was comfortable.

The reason for my 3 star review is due to the cleanliness of the room. I enjoyed the staff, everyone was kind and helpful. Unfortunately the room that I stayed in, keep in mind I paid $180 a night was not up to standards. The comforter had multiple stains, there was no soap in the shower, and the front of the toilet had not been cleaned in sometime. I enjoyed the staff, 24-7 coffee, and the amenities they offer but the room was low quality.

We’ve stayed at this property about once a year since it opened, initially so thrilled for a hotel here. Unfortunately, the property has gone downhill. Holes in the sheets, loose tiles in bathroom, sticky, dusty furnishings and the AC unit rattled and moaned so loudly we turned it off. Breakfast offerings were good. Sadly we have to cross this off our shortlist.

The property looks nice and is well maintained. The beds were a bit hard for me, but it didn't bother anyone else. The breakfast was nice. They had biscuits and gravy, which makes my husband happy.
