Super 8 by Wyndham Valemount

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel appears to be older, but updated in our room. Bed was fairly good, pillows okay. The AC unit is very noisy, even on low fan speed. It was an extremely hot day we arrived and had the AC turned on, curtains closed to cool the room down for a few hours. It was so loud, we had to crank up the volume on the tv. We then turned it off to sleep. Bathroom looks recently renovated, except the sink did not have a plug. Good pressure in the shower and plenty of towels. Breakfast area was small and crowded and people struggled to find a seat. Not much variety and the pancake machine slowed up everyone. We ended up taking pre-packaged muffins and juices to our room. Perhaps they can find a local baker to make fresh muffins? Front desk staff on check in and out were wonderful. Nice to have a luggage cart as we had a lot of stuff to be in for the night. Overall a nice place for a night."

"Top notch : room & furnishings - Excellent ; TV remote worked well [ie only ONE DEVICE] except for the "guide" function on the remote - not functioning > frustrating; bathroom very well appointed with shower ONLY facility > but this makes the most sense & the SHOWER was superb c/w most other tub + shower amenities ! Overall very clean - easy check in & checkout ! pleasant helpful desk staff !"

"Was a good stay. Doesn’t have outdoor pool. Pool was inside with a waterslide and hot tub. Not enough pool towels are available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Phone left outside our room - woke us up at 7:15am. (Explained no reception further down the hall) That should be remedied. Not good to wake up guests like that. All in all a good family overnighter. Complimentary coffee in the lobby is a plus. Would stay again."

"Clean rooms, good value! The hotel itself is a bit dated and slightly run-down. However, care has been taken by hotel staff and management to ensure that the rooms remain clean and functional. The toiletries and beddings provided are of high quality for the price and the amenities are comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly and accommodating."

"The Gatehouse cottage is lovely, particularly the living room, which is spacious, light-filled and nicely furnished. The upstairs is small and a bit quirky....the two bedrooms have no privacy doors and the bath is accessible to both rooms. So perhaps not for everyone (there's also a downstairs bathroom with a good shower). The woodland setting, lawn and plantings are attractive, although there's some road noise. The host and her husband were very helpful. Overall, what you're getting is a nice place close to the Mt. Robson park headquarters. That's worth a lot, because the mountain is really something to see, even by Alberta/B.C. standards."

"This was an extremely nice house located in a convenient and beautiful setting just outside Mt. Robson Provincial Park. One could easily spend the day just sitting on the deck admiring the view of Robson while listening to the sound of the creek. There are two kitchen areas, two dining areas, two gathering areas and three bathrooms - everything one would need, and more. Everyone said they could easily live in this house; it would make a superb summer home! Carmen was very helpful and responded to inquiries promptly."
