This is our 1st time being disappointed in a VRBO stay!!! Black mold on ceiling of Master Bedroom. Host advised it has been there for 6 months...which we feel strongly should have been resolved before house available for us to secure a stay. He sprayed with mold product & covered with plastic. A very temporary fix.Mildew in number of showers.Welcome message stating "washroom sink is broken" and "couple faucets turned off because they drip".Frig not clean - filled with previous guests items - shocked to learn she did the housecleaning prior to our arrival and will return immediately at the end of our stay.Took 2 hours to clean frig so I could put my groceries in it. (I left her items out of kindness for her.)Informed by host not to use bed in lower level as previous guest had a child urinate on the mattress and it needs to dry out before sheets reapplied.Microwave door had a hole in the glass. Host replaced it.Food under recliners. Dust on shelves. Toenail clippings and hair in MB tub. Not clean and I did not use it.Host was sorry he didn't meet our expectations and feels he offers a great value.This was definitely not a Premier Host or a 10/10 rated stay. The host is "nice" but more concerned about how he sees value rather than the truth. A 10/10 should be pristine.Since he allowed prior guest to do cleaning and more than likely didn't clean after we left, as it was cleaner than when we arrived, he could at least refund his cleaning charges. Honest review!

The house was absolutely fabulous! The beds were comfy, and the space was enough for all of us to feel comfortable! The host(Ray) was absolutely amazing with great communication! The outdoor space was amazing! Looking forward to visiting again.

The house was in a beautiful and peaceful area, the fall leaves and vast wooded space behind the house was lovely. We really appreciated the board games and basketball hoop. The house had everything we could need and the host was very responsive and helpful. The one thing I wish we had was good internet but that’s no fault of the host, it’s to do with the lack of infrastructure for good internet in the area. The host has done everything he can to provide internet. Hopefully one day the internet providers will bring better service to the area. If quiet family time and beautiful nature are what you’re looking for this place is perfect.

Definitely a great place to stay, plenty of space for multiple people. My wife, a friend of mine and his wife, and another friend of mine, and I had no issues with space here. It was comfortable, the host was very responsive and nice. We stayed here for the Ren Faire and it was close enough to be convenient. Loved the game room, we definitely got some use out of it relaxing after the Faire. We didn't get a chance to check out some things, but there are plenty of outdoor and historical related sites nearby. Just a mile down the road is a canoe rental store right on the Little Miami river. Plenty of parking for extra vehicles as well and the price was a great deal.

Another great weekend at Ray's place! This was our fourth stay with our writers' retreat and as usual, the house was perfect. Ray is a wonderful host, very responsive. The house is exactly as described, quiet and wooded but still close to anything you might need. If the location fits your needs, you'll be very happy here.

My daughters and their families stayed with me in Ray’s house. It was perfect for us. We had plenty of room for each of us to relax. We loved the yard and equipment to use while we were there. We played and relaxed each evening in the yard. Ray was an awesome host. He communicated well before and during our visit. I would highly recommend stay here!

Our two couples had a very enjoyable stay. Check-in and out was seamless. Easy communication with our Host. The house was very large, very quiet and exactly as described in the listing and photos. The kitchen was well-furnished with everything we needed. The smart TV was easy to use. Lots of movies, a pool table and other entertainment items for kids and kids at heart in the lower level. Beautiful quiet setting. Easy-to-use washer and dryer. Separate bedrooms and bathroom in the lower level. Some of the furnishings and kitchenware could be updated and upgraded, but overall a very quiet and relaxing place to stay. Five stars all the way!

Home was clean and beautiful, lots of space for the 8 of us and perfect location for our needs. Ray was very nice and we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again in the future! We really enjoyed the screened porch and the pool table.

The house was perfect for our large family vacation. We were in town for a baseball tournament and had asked ahead of time if it was ok to have our team dinner there, the owner approved and even with all the extra people there for awhile we had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each others company. Owner was very responsive and helpful, he did need to access the property a couple of times during our stay which we had never experienced before but communicated up front and was respectful of our privacy when he did. Only critique from any of our group was the lack of window coverings, especially on the front of the house, but with being surrounded by woods it was fine. If we ever return to the area with a big group again we will look to use this home.

Amazing!!

This house was perfect for our getaway to Kings Island! The host was wonderful to work with and made our stay easy! The house was super clean and had everything we needed! Everyone enjoyed the game room especially the pool table and the board games they had for us to enjoy during our stay! The house is huge and has plenty of room for all of us. We will definitely book again when we come back!

Hidden gem

What a perfect combination of b4ing in the country and yet still being close to amenities like restaurants and stores if needed.This property is on a beautiful lot souroubded by forest all around. Lots to do both at the house andin the area. The house has a ton of games, board, card, pool table shuffle board, and basketball. The house is huge big enough for a family reunion. Everything that is upstairs, like a kitchen and laundry room is also downstairs.Owner was super friendly and helped us with all of our questions. Only recommendation would be is to have some lanterns in the house the power went out twice, once for about 8 hours luckily i made friends with the neighbor and was able to borrow things from them

Family wedding weekend

Great property and plenty of space. Sleeps 10 comfortably with room for more (on some very comfy couches....). Friendly and responsive owner. Lots of stuff to do including, pool table, shuffle board (table), board games, DVDs, televisions, etc. Great kitchen for food prep for a group, including refrigerator in kitchen and basement. Outdoor space was great too -- screened in porch off of kitchen, fire pit and patio with grill near the woods, basketball hoop in driveway, and plenty of room for corn hole (comes with!). Parking is good for several cars. Picked location to be close to Historic White Oak Farm - just a couple miles away. Overall, great time with family and friends!

Great Spot!

We had a great stay! The home is secluded and surrounded by nature with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. The house is much bigger than it looks and sleeps large families very comfortably. Great place for a gathering!
