Deserted Sunday streets and a pleasantly chilly breeze greeted me as I stepped out to explore a not so far off North of Switzerland 🇨🇭 from where I was stationed. Summer brings vacations and businesses are usually out, taking it easy. After the exciting train 🚆 ride, this city presented itself as a host of not one but three castles. As I walked down the empty streets, the first Piazza or square had this mammoth structure with a brilliant facade up front. If one follows the structure it leads to a tall Bell tower where an hourly tolling breaks the silent monotony of the land. The Piazza had shops where you could buy chocolates, water and newspapers! The castles were still way ahead and I couldn't invest more time here. A couple of clicks 📷 later, I joined my peers in search of Castlegrande 🏰

"Nous avons passé un séjour absolument merveilleux dans cet hôtel. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une grande gentillesse par le personnel, souriant, disponible et prêt à rendre service. L’ambiance générale est chaleureuse et conviviale, ce qui met immédiatement à l’aise. La chambre était impeccablement propre et bien équipée. La literie était confortable. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié le mini bar à disposition dans la chambre et la petite attention de la bouteille d’eau fraîche pour le départ en voiture. Le petit-déjeuner était un véritable régal, avec un large choix de produits frais, variés et savoureux. Il y en avait pour tous les goûts et tout était préparé avec soin. La localisation de l’hôtel est idéale : proche de tout, mais suffisamment calme pour garantir un séjour reposant. En résumé, un établissement que nous recommandons les yeux fermés à tous ceux qui recherchent confort, tranquillité et qualité de service."

"Beautiful hotel on the lake, many rooms with balconies over the water. Spotlessly clean, all new fixtures and furniture, one of the best and most comfortable beds I've slept in. Breakfast was amazing, omelettes freshly cooked for you and the best fruit, vegetables, meats and cheeses not mention a variety of breads, croissants/cornettos and freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff are amazing, friendly helpful and engaging. Loved this hotel and hated leaving. Cafes, restaurants, bars, laundry and supermarket 5 minutes walk away, just past the train station."
