"Emerald said the beds were king and queen, but the were not. They were to single beds put together, i normally sleep in the middle of my bed or other beds, so my sleep was very uncomfortable. The next day i learned yhe my elderly Mother in law also likes to sleep in the middle of her bed, so she didn't have a good sleep as well. In there room there were dishes and untensils, but no sink, dish soap or dish towels. The patio deck had only one cushioned chair. The shower was not good, it was quite high for me and unavailable for my elderly mom. The bath looked ok but it didn't fill, and the shower door did feel safe to hold to get in and out. I am not usually a complainer but i had to share how i felt especially for the price. Other thn that it was ok. -The view not your problem but there is one tree that can be removed for that room area. Thank you 😊 "

"Great location close to central town. Friendly staff. We never had breakfast but the dinners were great, hot and reasonable prices. You can even have it delivered to your room if you want. So much to do in the area. Highly recommend "

"Staff were friendly and good to deal with. However I sent an email directly to the motel and never got a response. Property has dated decor and could do with modernizing. Bed had "roll together" and I would replace. Met others staying whose bed was not good. Looked like blood stains on the white curtain backing was the first thing I saw when I opened the door. Dimly lite rooms. Replacement down lights had fly poo all around them. Needs an extractor fan in the bathroom. Would suggest getting nett curtains to give privacy and to allow some light into the room. "

"The room we booked at the motel was not available; we were lead to a cottage a few blocks away. It was a better place and was an upgrade, and the staff person was wonderful. However, there was no bbq there as was listed, the pool listed had been closed for over year (it was too cold for swimming that day anyway), and it was questionable if the sheets on the bed were clean as they were covered with lint. Still a very nice stay as new sheets were obtained and the bed remade, and it was a lovely cottage. We can't rate the actual motel, just our experience."

"Thank you very much for letting us stay in sun Haven in Mahia. We really enjoyed our stay It was very warm and welcoming. We were right next door to the helicopter pad. Which was very interesting to see it in action. The host and the amenities were accommodating. I give them a 10/10."
