Took us about 5 minutes to get ours to work; and our daughter's at least 10-15 min each time they tried to enter the room. For her, we were given new cards each time, but still no big improvement. it seemed like the batteries maybe didn't work well anymore, but the staff just didn't seem anxious to fix our problem.
