"Modern B&B is a cool space with a personalized touch and a fantastic breakfast -- and the price is very reasonable. We were in town to move our daughter into college and had arranged ahead of time to have a few items shipped to the B&B while we were there. When one package arrived two days after we had checked out, Lisa, the proprietor, very kindly brought the package to my daughter at college. Talk about going above and beyond! (Also, the space is very cool and funky and we enjoyed our conversations with the proprietors, staff and other guests.) "

"Everything about this hotel is superb - starting with a shoutout to the entire staff for treating us as friends and dealing with everything with a smile. Eric and Jamar were standout friendly faces. The rooms are very comfortable, the vibe is chill, the bar is great. Street parking is easy and the location is great for taking strolls through the Menil Collection and around the neighborhood."

"Check-in, facilities, and proximity to restaurants were very nice. There was a very very loud house party at a nearby different rental, so I’m not sure I’d recommend for a family. Though, it could have just been our bad luck. The garage was not quite big enough for our vehicle so we parked on the street, which was easy enough. Still highly recommend for a group of friends!"

"Was a nice room! It was perfect for our visit to Houston. Felt safe in this area. Easy to get around and close to many venues and amenities. Clean and well kept. "

"House is quite spacious and worked for our family needs. But it was lacking some pretty basic essentials- towels for six people to use in the shower and a set for the pool. They also ran out of trash bags. Messaged the host on both occasions but trash bags were delivered late in the evening and messages about towels came hours later. We ended up buying our own. Also, the images on here are very nice and touched up - the house is older and it shows its age in person. Lastly, it was quite off putting to arrive to the house and see a boarded house next to it. While not in control of the owner of this property, you can see in imagery of the pool that images were edited to make this less noticeable. I’d consider staying at other properties from this owner, but I would not return to this house specifically. It was fine for what we needed but nothing greatly memorable. "
