The neighborhood is home to a mix of historic homes and modern apartments, many of which have been beautifully restored to their original charm. From the leafy streets to the friendly residents, Capitol Heights offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes visitors feel right at home. With its close proximity to downtown Montgomery, residents and visitors alike can easily access the city's top attractions, such as the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Museum, and the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, to name just a few. Whether you're in town for business or pleasure, Capitol Heights is the ideal place to stay and explore all that Montgomery has to offer.

Use the front or back yard or enjoy any space in the house. You may access any space inside the house other than the locked supply closet. This home has an electronic smart lock on the back door, which is the guest entrance.

This is an older home with real historic character, and we've leaned into it with original details and unique vintage décor. If you love a charming, lived-in look, you'll feel right at home. Everything is on one level, so you can move easily between the living room, dining area, kitchen and bedrooms. The living room is where you'll spend your evenings together, with a TV for movie nights, plus air conditioning and heating to keep everyone comfortable in any season. Need to get some work done? There's a dedicated workspace with a cozy office area and Wi-Fi, so you can answer emails or plan tomorrow's outing before heading out. You'll have your own private entrance, and we're a message away if you need anything.

KITCHEN & DINING
Whether it's a quick breakfast before a busy day or a big family dinner, you'll find a full kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. We've stocked cookware, dishes, silverware, glassware (including wine glasses) and cooking basics, so you can cook without a grocery run for pots and plates. Coffee and a coffee maker are ready for the first pot of the morning. The dining table seats 6, which makes it easy to share meals and linger over conversation. Traveling with a little one? We have a high chair for you.

OUTDOORS
The historic front porch is the heart of the house. Start your morning here with coffee, or unwind together after a day exploring Montgomery. Out back, the private fenced yard gives your dog a safe place to run and play, and there's a patio with outdoor furniture where you can sit and relax while they do. Our in-home washer and dryer help you stay fresh on longer trips, or after a muddy afternoon with the pup.

A few things to know before you book:

PRIMARY GUEST
The guest who books must be at least 25 years old and must stay at the home for the entire reservation. The primary guest is responsible for everyone in their group and any visitors.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
Every guest is required to sign a short rental agreement after booking. This is not optional: our property insurance requires a signed agreement for each stay, and our attorneys have advised the same. It covers house rules, check-in and check-out procedures, occupancy limits, and responsibility for damage. It takes about two minutes, and there is no app to download and no account or password to create. We send it after booking along with a brief check-in form, and your access details follow once both are complete.

HOUSE RULES
• Maximum 8 overnight guests
• Quiet hours 9 pm to 8 am
• No parties or events
• No smoking or vaping
• Pets welcome: up to 2 (dogs 60 lb or under; some breeds are restricted for insurance). $50 pet fee per stay covers all pets. Please add pets to your reservation.
• The fireplaces are not for use
• No commercial photography or filming without our written approval (see below)
• Please lock the back door each time you leave. It does not lock automatically

DURING YOUR STAY
Our cleaning, maintenance, and guest-support team works hard to make your stay great. Airbnb expects guests to be considerate and respectful of hosts and everyone they meet during a stay, and we ask the same toward our team, vendors, and neighbors. Concerns are always welcome. Verbal abuse, threats, or harassment of anyone on our team will be reported to Airbnb.

Please tell us about any damage as soon as it happens so we can sort it out fairly. Please keep total people on the property, including daytime visitors, within the guest limit. Please leave the exterior cameras and the indoor noise monitor connected and uncovered.

Commercial photography or filming is only allowed with our written approval before your stay. Approval requires a commercial general liability policy of at least $1,000,000 naming Dreamline Suites as an additional insured. All house rules, guest limits, and parking rules still apply.

GETTING IN & PARKING
Enter the driveway at the rear of the property, through the privacy gate. Guest entry is at the back door, where the smart lock is.

PETS
The $50 pet fee is a flat fee per stay and covers all pets. Please crate pets when they're left alone, keep them off beds and furniture, clean up after them, and keep them on a leash outside the fenced backyard. Service animals are always welcome, with no fee.

GOOD TO KNOW
The home has sliding barn doors, so please keep an eye on kids playing in and around them. There is a small step into the bathrooms, and the outdoor walkways use repurposed materials and can be uneven or slick, so please watch your step. The washer and dryer are in the home, and there is a dedicated workspace. The locked supply closet is not for guest use.

EARLY CHECK-IN & LATE CHECKOUT
Available on request when the cleaning schedule allows. $20 per hour, one-hour minimum. Message us and we'll check with our cleaning team.

BEFORE CHECKOUT
Before you head out, please leave used dishes in the kitchen sink or dishwasher, gather used towels in the tub, put trash in the kitchen bin, take your food and belongings, and turn off the lights and A/C. Our cleaning team handles the rest.

LOCAL RULES
City of Montgomery Ordinance 29-2026 (short-term rentals):
• Maximum occupancy is 2 per bedroom plus 2 (8 at this home)
• Park only in designated spaces. No buses, RVs, or commercial vehicles
• Amplified music is allowed indoors only
• No weddings, receptions, parties, or events
• Trash bins must be kept out of public view except on collection day
The city fines the operator $250 for a first violation and $500 for each one after. If a guest's violation results in a city fine, we will request reimbursement through Airbnb's Resolution Center with the citation attached.

SECURITY & MONITORING
For the safety and security of our guests and the property, motion-activated cameras are installed on the exterior only. They record audio and video and monitor entrances and outdoor areas. No cameras monitor any indoor area. An indoor noise-monitoring device measures noise levels only. It does not record audio or video.
