"Stunning property with the most incredible breathtaking views. Note that the property is very remote therefore you will need a car to get to it and a car to get from each building on the property. It would be useful to know that dinner is only served at 8pm and there is not really any food or drinks available in between so would be good to come stocked with supplies."

"This was our second visit to Castello Vicchiomaggio but the first overnight there. It's a beautiful historic property that is maintained impeccably. Our room was perfect in every way. We stayed in a junior suite. It was extremely spacious with a separate living room. The decor was very tasteful and the linens were luxurious. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. The bath products supplied smelled lovely. The food at the main castle, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, was excellent....

"Great stay in this old castle. Beautiful setting with fantastic views. Room was good size with adequate storage for lots of luggage. Pool is very nice (but a bit cold in May). Various places to sit, relax and have a glass of wine. On site restaurant has varied menu and breakfast is more than a meal. So many choices of meat, fruit, breads, pastries... "We had an absolutely incredible stay at Viesca. The setting is beautiful. The photos don't do it justice. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Concetta welcomed us and kindly showed us around, talked us through the facilities... The pool is lovely, and it was great to be able to play tennis as well. We did not try any of the spa treatments, but there was a really good selection available. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The only negative thing we have to say about it/Viesca is that...

"It's a 45 euro cab ride from the Florence airport, but it's so much better than staying in the city!. First of all, Florence traffic and tourism is a bit bonkers, so when you see people lugging their suitcases over cobblestone streets while hundreds of people flow past them every minute and cars zip & squeeze down the streets, you can be glad you got a cabin here, got to park by your door, had the all-you-can eat breakfast, 24-hour laundry, large store for everything from games to wine to meat...
