We enjoyed our stay so much. The bed and pillows were like lying on clouds. The cute little kitchen had everything we needed to make our anniversary meals. The hot tub was super clean. The grill worked great also. Cute little village of cabins. We have already shared this location with friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed this place. Cabin was clean and comfortable. The efficient use of space made the interior feel much larger than outer appearance would suggest. Made use of the well illuminated fire pit and hot tub. Although there are nearby cabins within view on the ridge behind, did not feel like an impediment on our privacy. The property also has a short trail to a scenic, private pond and a cave opening in case you are like me and must stir about! 5 stars all around!
Very peaceful stay. Quaint treehouse style cabin. Loved the private hot tub right outside the room and the large tiled shower. Kitchen was equipped for us to cook a dinner. It could use plastic cups to take to the hot tub, though. :)A perfect setup for an anniversary trip. Thanks!
It was a very relaxing stay. We were looking for a spot to just disconnect. The cabin had everything we needed and the hot tub on the deck was perfect especially under a full moon and stars. We would love to go back when the fall colors are out.
My wife and I were looking to find a weekend getaway that provided privacy and convenience. The Dove provided those things, and we were pleased at how much the Dove provided so much in a small package. We loved the hot tub as it was a source of true relaxation.
As advertised. Nice little getaway. The hot tub was unusable as it was filthy. Needs a new cover as rainwater seems to disrupt the ph. Everything else was great.
We celebrated our one year anniversary at The Dove and had a nice, relaxing time. The cabin was cozy and secluded. The backyard lights didn’t work, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. And I have no doubt if we would have notified the property manager that we wanted this, it would have been resolved for us. It was a perfect getaway for my husband and I celebrating our first year of marriage and would definitely recommend.
This was our second stay in the Dove in less than two years. There is so much to love about this place. It is cozy and warm and charming. It has everything we need for a quick getaway from the everyday grind in the city. The mattress on the bed is so comfortable. Please tell me what kind of mattress that is! However, the bedframe is only inches from the floor and is less than ideal for most full-grown adults. The bathroom is comfortable with enough space for a short trip. The shower has a great concept, but the low water pressure and the tiny "rainfall" showerhead come up short in the massive shower space. The kitchen comes with all that you need to get started with coffee or tea. It has a nice refrigerator and range. We always love a fireplace and fire. We didn't use the TV. The living space and furniture are adequate. We loved that our suggestion to cover the front door's window with a drape was taken seriously and we appreciated that extra bit of privacy. Our favorite part is the spacious deck and two-person hot tub. The hot tub was clean, and the temperature was perfect. My wife learned from our previous stay to bring a hot tub pillow that she could sit on and be more comfortable in the hot tub. It rained a lot while we were there, so we didn't make use of the fire. Overall, we loved our stay and would like to return in the future.

The property and surrounding treehouses are really cool. We enjoyed the setup of dove treehouse. However, it needs a day for a cleaning overhaul. There is a layer of dust underneath the bed and couch. I found this when my dogs' toy went under the bed. There were also socks, I assume from the guest before us, underneath the bed which tells me the cleaning crew didn't even look. There is cobwebs and dust towards the ceiling. The A/C unit on the wall needs cleaning as well. It seems to have been spitting dirt/dust clumps out and on top of the fridge and floor. Also, I understand people washing their dishes before they leave, but they need to be checked for quality before the next guest. There were several cooking items we had to clean before we could use them. I appreciate you providing salt and pepper to cook with but the shakers need to be replaced they were grimy and not clean and they have rust. There was also stuff in the salt that wasn't salt, so I had to pour it out on a plate to separate whatever it was to not put it in our food. The drain in the bathroom sink would not drain the water unless I pulled the metal drain catch out and when I did I discovered it was nasty and plugged with hair.We will be back because we did enjoy the space. I just hope it gets the cleaning it deserves.
We had a great stay at the treehouse! Such a cute quiet place for us to spend our anniversary! The bed was surprisingly comfortable!Definitely would stay again.
Great ambience and convenient to Sewanee—exactly what we wanted.

Cabin in woods visit
advertised as a tree house which it was a cabin on stilts in the woods not an actual "Tree house". Ants were every where. We took our suitcases back out to the vehicle. The toilet seat was broke upon arrival. The toilet had to be continually plunged. The bed was so low, the 6'4 person had to sleep sitting up on the couch because they could not get up from the bed. Huge disappointment!!!
The tree house was nice, but not quite what we were expecting. The bed was AMAZING!! There was a lot of traffic and we didn't realize how close the other tree houses were. The furniture was a hodge podge of what looked like they found at a nice thrift shop and the information hanging on the wall was not updated. It was nice enough, but not quite what we were imaging.
Loved the Dove treehouse. It was exactly as pictures, very clean and stocked with all the things we could need. Management was exceptional ...responded quickly and so kind and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay there again!
The Dove treehouse at Terralodge was simply amazing! It was exactly what we were looking for for our long weekend stay. The pictures are exactly as the property is-huge shower, everything you need in a kitchen, fluffy towels, comfy bedding, the works! The hot tub was great to soak in after our hikes. The property website led us to some fantastic restaurants (The High Point and Shakerag) and great hiking trail suggestions. This property is very well maintained and the small details really went above and beyond. We had firewood, even kindling if we wanted to start a fire in the pit outside, there were all the fixins for s’mores, and even ground coffee (which was delicious) provided. Definitely a place to return to in the future!
A beautiful cabin with amazing views in one of America’s best kept secrets. We fell in love with this treehouse and are so glad we found it. It felt like it was in the wilderness but it was only a short drive to town. We hope to be back!
