This time home also comes with a fire pit with chairs and grill. The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls is a gated tiny home community in southeast Tennessee. The community is only 15 minutes from the University of the South in Sewanee. It is also a short drive from Nashville, Chattanooga, and a couple hours from Atlanta. Located atop Monteagle Mountain halfway between Chattanooga and Nashville, Monteagle is the gateway to the outdoor adventure within South Cumberland State Park (3 minutes away), The famous Caverns (featuring both cave tours and doubling for cave concerts), and Clay Shooting nearby. Monteagle is part of a unique cultural history that developed along the Cumberland Plateau in the late 19th century that is still being celebrated today. The two story layout of the great room, also featuring a warm and inviting fireplace and wall of windows, for plenty of natural light. With a kitchen equipped with essentials, including microwave, toaster, coffee pot and Keurig - you can enjoy making meals in the oven or grill - or takeout from one of the local eateries. While there is no dishwasher - you’ll have the chance to appreciate the simple way of life as you do a few dishes by hand. Comfortable bedding, kitchen was well stocked and although we didn't utilize the cute outdoor fire pit, they provided everything needed to get one started. It's not a far drive from Nashville or Chattanooga, but feels removed and tranquil. It is even more private and tucked away than it looks in the pictures. While it's part of a tiny home community, it's at the end of a long driveway, dipping down into it's own little haven, surrounded by trees and a creek. I saw more deer than people in the three days I was there. And the home itself is very nice, with all the modern amenities you'd want. Even standing at 6'8", I found it a comfortable amount of space. Though I imagine it might feel cramped with two or more guests. I would definitely return here in the future. ##### Soren B. Just perfect for us 3 girls. We went to The Caverns for a concert and this place was just 15 minutes from there. Very relaxing by the creek. The place is better than pictured and wasn’t expecting it be down in a hole by creek away from everyone else. We will be booking again! Communication was excellent.
