It's comfy, interesting and homely, a bit shabby-chic, evolved rather than interior designed. The terrace with outdoor sofa's, the large pool and outside covered eating area provide the perfect location for relaxation and al fresco dining. We can provide holiday catering with a private chef, allowing yourself a night off from cooking whilst still enjoying all the benefits of self-catering accommodation. There are many features to this house that make it special. The house has over 220m2 of living space and 1800m2 of garden and land with amazing views of the Cevennes, France's largest regional park of some 200,000 acres. There is a large kitchen with an outside covered eating area terrace with BBQ, perfect for entertaining. The master bedroom with en-suite has a large balcony with table/chairs overlooking the garden and mountains. There are many comfortable areas - the large sitting room (42 feet long), a small study as well as a second sitting room opening on to the vine terrace with hammock and pool. The 15 metre swimming pool is surrounded by a paved terrace, sun loungers and fully fenced with spectacular views. There is also ample parking at the back of the house. Children are very welcome and the house is equipped with a chest full of toys, puzzles as well as a table tennis table, Boules pitch, high speed fibre broadband/Wi-Fi 500+Mbps, smart TV and air conditioning in the bedrooms and kitchen. The house is located in the small picturesque village of Monoblet. Within a 3 min walk, there is a bakery, post office, bar, children's playground and riding school. As well as a hard court basketball court, a grass football pitch and a floodlit astro pitch (available to everyone). Nearby towns of St. Hippolyte-du-Fort (8 kms) and Anduze (13 kms) have good shopping facilities, open-air markets, cafes, banks, bars, restaurants as well as bike hire. Tennis courts, excellent cycling, canoeing, pony-trekking, river swimming and golf are also close by. Other attractions include some splendid caves called Grotte des Demoiselles and a steam train that runs regularly up the valley from Anduze to St. Jean-du-Gard. The Carmargue, the coast and the larger towns of Nimes, Uzes and Montpellier are about an hour away. A car is essential for shopping and accessing the local area. Unfortunately the house is not wheelchair accessible or suitable for guests with restricted mobility, due to the many steps around the property. ## Property amenities ### Pool/Spa - Outdoor pool - Private pool ### Internet - Available in the house: Free WiFi ### Parking and transportation - Car required - Parking on site ### Kitchen - Blender - Coffee/tea maker - Cookware, dishware, and utensils - Dishwasher - Electric kettle - Ice maker - Kitchen island - Microwave - Oven - Refrigerator - Spices - Stovetop - Toaster ### Dining - Chef service - Dining table ### Bedrooms - 5 bedrooms - Bedsheets provided ### Bathroom - 4.5 bathrooms - Hair dryer - Shower - Shower/bathtub combination - Soap - Toilet paper - Towels provided ### Living spaces - Dining table - Fireplace - Living room ### Entertainment - Books - Games - Smart TV ### Outdoor areas - Balcony - Barbecue grill - Garden - Outdoor furniture ### Laundry - Laundry facilities - Washing machine ### Work spaces - Desk - Desk chair - Printer ### Comfort - Air conditioning - Heating ### Pets - No pets allowed ### Suitability/Accessibility - If you have requests for specific accessibility needs, please contact the property using the information on the reservation confirmation received after booking. - No elevator (single-level property) - Smoking not allowed ### Services and conveniences - Iron/ironing board - Phone ### Location highlights - In a rural location - In a village - In the mountains - Near a hospital ### Things to do - Table tennis - Basketball nearby - Birdwatching nearby - Golfing nearby - Hiking/biking trails nearby - Horseback riding nearby - Kayaking nearby - Mountain biking nearby - Mountain climbing nearby - Rock climbing nearby - Swimming nearby - Winery tours nearby ### Safety features - Carbon monoxide detector (host has indicated there is a carbon monoxide detector on the property) - Smoke detector (host has indicated there is a smoke detector on the property) - First aid kit - Fire extinguisher ### General - Comprehensive recycling policy - Garden - Unit size: 2,368 square feet ## Similar properties ![Interior](https://images.trvl-media.com/lodging/37000000/36780000/36772100/36772068/02a01cc8.jpg?impolicy=fcrop&w=469&h=201&p=1&q=medium) ### OASIS OF BOISSET: 5\* MAS, 3 min from Anduze, PRIVATE POOL, SPA/SAUNA,16 people Boisset-Et-Gaujac - Pool - Hot tub - Kitchen - Washer 10 Exceptional 8 reviews [](https://www.expedia.ca/Hotel-Search?startDate=2026-03-02&endDate=2026-03-03&selected=36772068&PinnedHotelID=36772068&HadPinnedHotel=true®ionId=-1&adults=2) [Compare similar properties](/Hotel-Search?startDate=2026-03-02&endDate=2026-03-03&selected=34052555&PinnedHotelID=34052555&HadPinnedHotel=true®ionId=-1&adults=2&comparePropertyIds=34052555,36772068) ## Policies ### Check-in Check-in time starts at 4:00 PM Minimum check-in age: 25 ### Check-out Check-out before 10:00 AM ### Special check-in instructions You will receive an email from the host with check-in and check-out instructions Information provided by the property may be translated using automated translation tools ### Pets Pets not allowed ### Children and extra beds Children are welcome ### Events No events allowed ### Smoking Smoking is not permitted ## Important information ### You need to know Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on property policy Government-issued photo identification and a credit card, debit card, or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidental charges Special requests are subject to availability upon check-in and may incur additional charges; special requests cannot be guaranteed Onsite parties or group events are strictly prohibited Host has indicated there is a carbon monoxide detector on the property Host has indicated there is a smoke detector on the property Safety features at this property include a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit This property is managed through our partner, Vrbo. The well equipped kitchen was extremely well supplied and much of the home newly renovated and very nicely decorated. Books and magazines, as well as books and toys for our kids were a lovely bonus. Excellent Wi-Fi, great views, and excellent location for us. The air conditioning was very much appreciated as it was quite hot during the week we visited. Mattresses and pillows could use an upgrade and it would have been great if the pool was cleaned regularly during our stay and came with pool floats ( pool toys were very limited) we had to be very brave to remove two drowned scorpions ourselves. Overall an absolutely gorgeous home, and we will definitely be back! Host Sara and property manager Charlie could not have been kinder- thank you so much! ##### Madhurii B. It was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 6 adults. The pool is amazing and a good size. There is a very helpful information book but I would recommend booking any restaurants in advance during the summer. We had an amazing week. Carolyn ##### Charlotte B. The accommodation worked wonderfully, is decorated to a very high standard and was packed with high quality appliances. We had delightful couple of weeks, relaxing with extended family. The pool is particularly glorious. Charlie, who is the on-the-ground contact, was amazing and quick to respond to any queries and help with requests. Sarah was also very helpful and prompt in all comms. We hope to return and highly recommend. ##### Lucy B. Stayed 14 nights in Aug 2019 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Jasmin C. We were a family of 12, 8 adults, 3 children and one baby and there was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen diner is beautiful and opens out on to the patio and gardens, the outdoor eating area was lovely in the evenings and the lounge was nice and cosy on a cloudy evening. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the bathrooms are amazing!! The master suite was amazing with a ginormous bathroom! We spent most of our time by the pool, what a view!! The pool was huge and all 12 of us could swim in there at the same time, the sunloungers are so comfortable and come with pillows and towels which is a lovely extra! We only had one car which we parked behind the pool but there is room for 2/3 more cars. lesplanas is amazing, we had the best holiday!! Thank you so so much ##### Jasmin C. We spent an amazing two weeks at this property in August to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. There were 2 families of 4 plus grandparents and the layout of the house meant that everyone had their own room plus bathroom, with beds to spare. The house had been renovated by Sarah's family over the last almost twenty years to an incredibly high standard. The bedrooms all had a good amount of storage in them, both drawer space and wardrobes and there were plenty of bathrooms for everyone, all fitted out beautifully. The kitchen was amazing and had everything in it we needed. The outside spaces worked very well for our large group, there was an outside comfortable seating area and an undercover eating area both off the kitchen. Lounging by the pool and staring out at the amazing views was one of the highlights! We had some lovely trips, canoeing on nearby rivers, visiting caves and further afield to Uzes, Nimes and the Pont du Gard. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed their time in Monoblet in this fantastic property. ##### Rachel H. We rented this property for 2 weeks, shared between grandparents and 2 families of 4\. All the communication I had with Sarah before our trip was always answered very promptly. The house has been loving restored by Sarah and her family over a number of years . The bedrooms were all really lovely and the bedding and decoration gave them a real French country feel, they all had shutters and there was plenty of storage for clothes. The whole house was finished to a very high standard. We especially enjoyed the two outside areas just off the kitchen. One had comfy garden furniture for relaxing and having pre-dinner drinks and the other was covered dining area with a table that seated all ten of us very comfortably. The pool area of course had a lot of use and it was too easy to while away the hours admiring the wonderful view over to Chateau de Fressac - the sun loungers were like a bed! When we arrived we were greeted by Charlie who looks after the house and answered any questions we had (not many!) by text really quickly. The house was absolutely immaculate when we arrived. The surrounding countryside was absolutely beautiful, I'm sure we didn't explore as much as we could have, soaring temperatures being the main reason. We did try the nearby canoeing, visited some spectacular caves and spent many mornings wandering around the local markets, an activity that none of us ever tired of. We didn't get to the coast but Nimes, Uzes and the magnificent Pont du Gard are great days out. The little village of Monoblet (post office, boulangerie, tabac and restaurant small market on Saturday) was charming. We went to the tabac a few times and had 2 meals at the local restaurant which were excellent, simple local food made really well; excellent mussels. On Thursday a van came to the centre and sold pizza too, made in it's own wood oven. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday house to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. ##### Rachel H. The pool is beautiful with lovely views & comfy sun loungers to lye on. The bedrooms have comfy beds & air conditioning & the kitchen is well- equipped with everything we needed. Super comfortable - air con, lovely heated pool, modern bathrooms and immaculate modern kitchen - it was perfect. We couldn’t recommend Les Planas highly enough, it’s the perfect holiday house and we had so much space (we were three families). We will be back! ##### laura f. Jul 23, 2018 #### A Hidden Gem An absolutely gorgeous house, off the beaten track in the national park. It has been lovingly restored to make a perfect family holiday destination, with two families using the house without it ever feeling claustrophobic and ample off street parking. The bedroom are all light and airy, with very comfortable beds and lined. The bathrooms were all finished to a high standard and the shower was brilliant. Air source air conditioning in each room. The swimming pool was heated and a good size, with amazing views and comfortable airbeds and seating areas. The alfresco dining area was fabulous for meals at all times of day. The kitchen was very well equipped and my husband enjoyed cooking up a storm, without ever wanting for any piece of equipment. All in all a lovely house and we hope to visit again soon. ##### Zoë H. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Alison R. Jul 16, 2017 #### Beautiful house and garden with great pool. Jun 18, 2017 #### A wonderful week at Las Panas Monoblet The location of this house is beautiful, quiet and very tranquil. The standard of accommodation is five star. It has a lovely modern kitchen with all modern appliances and well equipped with everything you need. It has plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and showers all of which are of a very high standard. The lounge area is very cosy with sky TV. The pool area is lovely and well equipped with plenty of outdoor furniture and has a lovely large parasol if you want some shade. I found the information folder very helpful as it was full of local places to visit along with all necessary info about all the household appliances. I would highly recommend this house to everyone. ##### Pauline G. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Alison M. Jun 6, 2017 #### Beautiful home from home in Monoblet We have just returned from a wonderful week at Les Planas. The house is charming, quirky, very tastefully decorated and extremely well-equipped for a family holiday. The layout is ideally suited to two families, or a multi-generational trip as the bedrooms are accessed via two separate staircases, affording some privacy, whilst having the advantage of shared reception rooms where everyone can gather together. Air-conditioning throughout will keep the house cool in the hottest weather. On arrival we found the house in immaculate condition. Charlie, the Housekeeper, was very friendly and available if needed, although we had no need to call her as everything we needed for a comfortable stay was already provided. Our children loved the pool area (with plenty of toys/inflatables on hand) which has stunning views across the valley. The poolside loungers and furniture were very comfortable and pool towels were provided. The recently refurbished kitchen and bathrooms are lovely and retain the country charm of this lovely house. Sarah, the owner, dealt in a very friendly and efficient manner with all correspondence from the initial booking onwards. Overall a very positive experience and a property we would recommend if you are looking to get away from it all in a lovely quiet spot. The Languedoc Roussillon is a beautiful area and there were lots of interesting places to visit nearby - we enjoyed the Bambouseraie near Anduzes, the Pont du Gard, Uzes and the Grotte des Demoiselles (a stunning cave). ##### Alison M. We stayed with our kids and family friends, what a perfect place for a group of us to holiday together. The rooms were all beautifully appointed and the terrace for barbecuing along with fantastic pool meant all our holiday needs were more than catered for. The local village was ideal for popping to the bakery in the morning and for a sundowner or two in the evening but we really didn't feel much need to leave the house! Would absolutely recommend and hope to visit again. ##### Kate R. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Lucy P. Aug 27, 2016 #### Location Location Location Lovely house, lovely village, lovely region. Hadn't been to the Cevennes before and was taken a back by its beauty. Lots to do and see locally. Who knew that bamboo ( La Bambouseraie) could be an attraction!! Further afield Pont du Gard and Montpellier Zoo are well worth trips. The house is as described, with lots of space (and steps!) and well appointed. It was perfect for us - 6 adults and 2 children (under 10). The kids loved the pool, the local wildlife, their bedroom and the swing. The selection of outdoor spaces were ideal for relaxing in; especially when trying to escape the sun and the heat. The restaurant in Monoblet is well worth a visit, as is a daily trip to the boulangerie. One note: We were very careful that the main front door was always locked and that we (young and old) paid attention when exiting via that door, as vehicles did travel very fast down the narrow road outside. Maybe a warning sign on the door would be a good idea? ##### Andrew E. This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### annie l. The decor is really beautiful, classically french and with every mod con including air con and wi-fi which was much appreciated. The house and gardens are quirky in that it is built against the mountain side so on split levels - this gave a great feeling of space, and provided fantastic and easy accommodation for three families. No one felt on top of each other. The pool is big and great for lots of kids or swimming length. There are wonderful views across the mountains, and also enjoyed the walking to the boulangerie every morning and a visit to the Tabac in the lovely little village of Monoblet. I would highly recommend this property and we hope to book again. ##### Celia Fox-Robinson This review was submitted before 2018 and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Whitney P. Aug 6, 2016 #### August visit to Old Stone Village House Wonderful visit to the Old Stone Village House with large pool and mountain views! The house had a nice kitchen with indoor and outdoor eating space large enough for four families, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms for all visitors. We also traveled with a 1 year old as well as a few other young children and the house came equipped with a crib and toys for the little ones. The pool is gorgeous with new sun loungers and an umbrella to protect you from the sun if needed in the afternoon. There is a quaint town within walking distance and a la boulangerie with fantastic bread prepared daily. We would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet French get away with friends and family! ##### Whitney P. Aug 4, 2016 #### Wonderful stay in a charming French house We have had a fabulous stay at Les Planas in Monoblet in Southern France. The house is a beautiful old house with lots of character and very tastily decorated by the owners. The pool is great with fantastic views over the Cevennes and in a gated area so safe for children. The owners have thought carefully about the interior so there are lots of comfortable sitting areas in the garden, on the terrace and a fantastic lounging area and loungers by the pool. Monoblet itself is an idyllic village and so convenient for morning croissants and baguettes! I have spent lots of time in the South of France but this is my first time to this area and I found it really really lovely. Very pretty countryside and lots of vineyards and restaurants in the valleys - we even had a wonderful swim at Mialet a village a few miles away. It will be hard to go back home after such a lovely stay xxx ##### Rhiannon H.
