During the summer months, guided hikes are offered that lead through the “Zickersche Alpen,” forested dune belts, and across the meadows of the countryside. The Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve is home to many rare plants, such as a protected species of orchid.
The past still plays a major role in the picturesque town of Middelhagen. Right next to St. Catherine’s Church, built around 1455, stands the School Museum. Here, you can't only gain insight into how students were taught and lived in the one-room schoolhouse of that era but also take part in a historical school lesson. And if you do well and participate diligently in class, you’ll even receive a report card.

As guests in this vacation rental, you and your travelling companions have free admission (up to 3 hours daily) to the AHOI! water park with its large sauna area in the neighbouring town of Sellin for the duration of your entire stay. There is NO swimming pool and NO sauna in the vacation rental itself.
