We chose the Granada Palace Hotel as it was in Monachil where we wanted to stay to visit family. On searching for a hotel this was the best one we found and was at a reasonable price. The hotel did not disappoint at all and was in a great location to visit family in Monachil and visit the sights of Granada. After being directed to our room we were amazed at how big it was, in all the trips we have been on (Carribbean/Thailand etc) this was one of the best rooms that we have stayed in, it was huge! We loved how big the bathroom was and all the space we had in the room to store our clothes and the little terrace where we could sit outside and take in the view of Monachil and the mountains. We were also given free bottles of water which was a lovely touch.
We paid for breakfast and this was also lovely, a great choice of hot and cold food. On our last day we were leaving for the airport at 7am and we had a picnic made up for us to take. We also enjoyed a meal at the Italian restaurant next door and with it being our Anniversary they did their best to make it special for us with several free drinks.
We sat by the pool area everyday, although the pool was a little too cold for me my husband braved it! It was nice to just sit on the sun loungers though. We also spent a couple of nights on the rooftop terrace, what an amazing view of Monachil!
It really was a 5 star hotel and we loved every minute of our break, we will definately return!
We were some of the only people there, it was off season for this location so parking and the pool were no problem but you have to drive in order to get to any of the sites or attractions. Staff was friendly and room was big with plenty of space for a large family. A/C worked well.

This is a very strange hotel in that it puts itself out as being grand, and decorated the lobby in a grand fashion, but the rooms themselves are incredibly sterile and basic. It's like they had great aspirations when they built the hotel but ran out of money when the time came to decorate the rooms.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are very limited options for dining in the area (basically one Italian restaurant).
Not enough staff working, we had to wait for 15min behind just one check in to be able to checkout because we needed a card to get out of the parking, felt like being taken hostage.
Other than that, the view from some of the rooms can be good. But depending on the room.
It is a bit far from the center of the city.

Really clean, tidy and spacious room. however lacking character. Main issue was Hotel was empty, lounge, restaurant and pool were all closed hence avoid visiting during winter!!
Most of the hotel was closed due to the time of year.
No bar open, no restaurants etc. This was not made clear when booking and we specifically looked for a place with options for dining.
The kids were excited to use the Jacuzzi after a long day on the ski slopes but they were charging €100 per hour for the four of us (again, no surcharge mentioned on the booking platform).
We had to ask for water to be replenished in the room which seemed strange for a five star hotel.
The room was a good size for a family of four.
Out of season, I would say this is more a three star hotel with hidden costs which need to be clearer.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Poor customer service. Lack of communication and no minimum effort to help.
Only stayed one night but this place had fabulous sized rooms and a great bathroom with jetted tub. We checked in Christmas Eve and their restaurant and pool area was not open but I guess that's to be expected. 10 minutes drive from Nevada shopping mall and 15 minutes from the city centre
30 euros for and u ugly parking, the hotel is super far away from Granada, should be call different, the rooms are super big, the buffet is so so but the service is the worst, they charge us twice for the buffet and the receptionist star makings excuses for not returning them to us at the end she did it. Not a four star hotel
