Cycle, run, or walk along the beach boardwalk and beach road! This unit is also a short walk from several award-winning restaurants. Being so close to the beach and restaurants makes getting around safe and easy for the whole family. Sand Tusker Villa is an energy-efficient ''Earth Cents'' home that will wrap you in luxury. The living room TV has a catalog of over 1000 movies and shows. It is pet-friendly and includes a garage, community pool, paved driveway, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops in the kitchen & baths, two sets of built-in bunk beds, hardwood flooring, porcelain tile, and crown molding throughout. The open living area, kitchen, and outdoor spaces are ideal for large gatherings. Each level of the home has its own temperature control. Balconies are located off the living room and 2nd-floor front bedroom. The spacious master bedroom/bath, with a large walk-in closet, garden tub, and oversized shower, rounds out the luxurious features! We know pets are family, and we welcome some small dogs, so please contact us about the fees and acceptable "fur babies" you wish to bring. Be ready for a lot of stairs but the main floor is a nice common space. The TV Internet wasn't working initially and there was a broken door on the TV cabinet which I notified the rental owners about, and they were quick to respond. It's a very convenient location to the beach. They provided a beach cart and 4 beach chairs which was amazing!!! My only biggest wish was that they had a golf cart to make things even easier. Clean but there were issues that were addressed quickly such as horrible smell from hot water due to unit sitting unrented for awhile. Had to drain hot water tank but first two days were miserable- whole place smelled. Pool was not open as advertised and one reason we rented there for the kids. This unit comes with the very bare necessities . If you don’t like stairs, this is not the unit for you. Carrying up heavy luggage to third floor is not easy. The furniture in family room definitely needs an upgrade and worn/stained. The greatest thing was it is walking distance to beach. They could have at least put a memory foam topper if they can’t do a whole memory foam mattress. End of rant- I do however love how close it is to the beach. Exactly a 5 minute walk. The home itself is very clean and I appreciated the tasteful decor. We all loved the community pool, it was clean and didn’t smell of chemical like some pools. The cabinets all had labels to show where things go , I loved that they had glass ware and plastic ware because toddlers don’t need glass! The master bedroom and bath were amazing however the hot water does not last when you have more than 6 people in the house. By the time upstairs people took showers there was no more hot water. Definitely get a work out walking up and down all the stairs but we were ok with that. Beds are very firm…a little too much for me. Aug 11, 2025 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Great townhouse Overall our experience was pretty good, my only disclaimer would be that there are visible spots where the walls have been touched up and it looks like the entire wall needs to be repainted. Also when we arrived I looked around on the ground outside the townhouse and there was trash that needed to be picked up, we tried keeping things picked up as best as possible. I also think a great addition to this rental would be patio furniture on the outside, because that would have been nice, when walking the building almost every other property had patio furniture. My only other disclaimer was the cleanliness of the pool. Other than those couple things we really liked the area and enjoyed the stay. ##### Kendra H. The only downside is that the "kids" room is on the 1st level so we ended up not using just strictly from a safety standpoint and being at street level. There are lots of stairs, which we handled just fine, but just an FYI. Area is very safe, there is additional parking within the complex and the check in and check out process is very, very simple. It was walkable to the beach and drivable to Destin. The only negatives were the kitchen needed more things, such as potholders, containers, etc. Also, the air conditioning was irregular between rooms.
