Kenja Kottage is located in the Beach Retreat subdivision. A short stroll to the private beach access with over 300 feet of beach frontage. This home is close to Pompano Joe Restaurant. It is also a short drive to two major shopping centers. This beautiful two story beach cottage has large wraparound balconies. It is tastefully decorated and has all the amenities to provide you with a fantastic vacation. On the second floor is the main master with a king size bed and master bath with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The second master is also on the second floor. It has a queen size bed and attached bath as well. Both bedrooms have access doors to the large wraparound balcony for enjoying the evening breezes! On the main floor is the well appointed living room along with a kitchen that boasts stainless steel appliances and granite counter-tops. One bedroom is located on the first floor. It has a queen size bed & a Twin/Twin bunk. A Sofa sleeper is located in the living room for additional guests. Our home is located in the gated community of Beach Retreat. It is a very short walk to a private beach access with over 300 feet of beach frontage. The neighborhood has brick paved streets lined with colorful Florida Cottages, and a 3000 square foot Community pool is heated during Thanksgiving week, Christmas week and for Spring Break. This home is located within steps of the pool and directly behind the club house with a state of the art fitness room. The Beach Retreat community is within a mile of Pompano Joes, Capt. Dave's and the Crab Trap Restaurants. We are centrally located near to all of Destin's wonderful Restaurants, water sports, children's activities, outlet mall, upscale shopping, casual and fine dining, movie theater and beautiful golf courses. Whether you wish to shop till you drop or just relax on the white sands and enjoy the crystal clear emerald green waters, Destin is the perfect place for you. The Track Amusement Center in Destin, Florida offers mini golf, Water Bumper Boats, go-carts & for those not faint of heart, Bungee Jumping. Big Kahuna’s Water Park is a favorite for young & old a like. Take a break from the wonderful Destin, Florida beach & spend the day here. Destin, Florida is known as the ”World’s Luckiest Fishing Village,” & boasts of being home to the largest fishing vessel fleet in the state of Florida. Fish from the beach or boat. If you do not want to bring your boat, one of Destin’s many charter boats would love the opportunity to take you out for full or half day excursions. We did have issues with the refrigerator leaking water when we arrived and the hot water heater went out. The property manager Kathy Shampine was very responsive and was able to get everything fixed pretty quickly, all things considered. Kathy was good to work with and made the situation tolerable. The location was very convenient to the beach and the pool, the neighborhood was nice and quiet, andthe cottage was pretty well appointed. We did have a couple of issues. One of the beds had dog fur in it and all over the sheets and coverlet that made us really wonder if it had been changed. It was taken care of immediately by the housekeeping company when we let the property manager know, but we never did get the coverlet back for that bed. We loved our recent vacation at Kenja Kottage and hope to return next year. The neighborhood is very family friendly and the beach was a short easy walk. Kathy is a very communicative manager and attended quickly to any questions I had. The only negative of the whole week was my husband’s OulKai sandals were taken from the beach shelves so he had to go buy another pair. But we didn’t let that spoil our fun! We vacationed in a different cottage managed by Kathy last year, and this one did not disappoint either! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and ADORE the cottage retreat neighborhood! Kathleen was amazing at answering any of my questions and quick communication. When we arrived, the property was beautiful and very well maintained. I just loved the little cottage community with the center area for walking my pup. We arrived earlier than plan but she immediately replied and allowed us in early! The house was clean and spacious. Pool was right behind us so was great for the little ones.
