Nestled in a cool, lush and quiet setting of water oaks and native plants, this easily accessible first floor 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage features a wonderful floorplan with fresh, new appointments and free high speed internet. Hidden Dunes Beach & Tennis Resort is a 27 acre gated community with 24 hour security, SELF CHECK IN in the popular Sandestin area of Destin. The resort comprises a freshwater lake, walking paths with reflecting pools and fountains, 3 large pools (1 heated in winter) scattered throughout the property with hot tubs, cottages, outdoor gas grills for the convenience of visitors, a basketball court and a top-rated tennis and pickleball facility with 5 rubico tennis courts, 5 pickleball courts, 2 fulltime teaching professionals, clinics and a tennis shop to aid scheduling of matches, shop and hang out! The design, construction and landscaping enhance Hidden Dunes natural beauty and help provide its quiet, secluded and private ambience devoid of shuttle buses, traffic and noise. MASTER SUITE tempts you to stay a while with its beautiful King Poster Bed, sitting room, Flat ScreenTV, ceiling fan, switched bedside lamps, blinds/custom drapes, large walk in closet and spacious luxuriant private bath with shower & bench and large oval soaking tub. SECOND BEDROOM, located on the other side of the cottage by separate hall bath, has two oversized twin beds with exciting new vibrant and inviting bed linens and fun green wall color, ceiling fan, switched lamp, interior blinds, together with plenty of drawer and closet storage space. Very open living space with lots of light. The Foyer opens into the GREAT ROOM which in turn opens to the Kitchen, Dining Area and screen porch. The Great Room features plenty of seating with its new sleeper sofa, matching loveseat, comfy oversized pillow chair, 50" Smart TV and ceiling fan. Banquet-sized tavern table in Dining Area seats 6 or more and is the perfect complement to the beautiful wrought iron nautical chandelier. Fully equipped KITCHEN, with everything you want, has its own serving bar and 3 stools for those quick lunch sandwiches or snacks. The Kitchen also features a double bowl stainless steel sink that looks out to the SCREEN PORCH with its inviting outdoor living space and its own serving bar, 3 stools, 5' wicker/glass table, 4 chairs and ceiling fan. The screen porch is completed with lots of FUN/BEACH ARTWORK and opens directly out to the resort's reflecting fountain and pools that meander through the interior of Hidden Dunes. The flooring in all the main living areas (except for the plush carpet found in the bed chambers and ceramic tile in the baths) is a very thick decorator stone. The stone is then covered in many areas with rugs. Washer/dryer, lots of storage, separate food pantry, coat closets, etc. The Justus Cottage (Cottage 168) at Hidden Dunes is a great beach vacation home in a wonderful location, on the beach side and just west of Sandestin. I enjoyed biking from the cottage. Bike lanes and bike paths to Port Washington State Park along with off road Singletrack trails in the park. We were there during the January snowstorm but it was -19F at our home in Minnesota, so no problems there. The unit could use a few updates, but it worked well. ##### Mike F. We felt right at home. The only so called complaint was that there was a bit of a moldy smell at first in the condo. We bought a couple of candles and sprayed everything with Lysol…..also several days we were able to air out the place by opening the doors which helped. It’s not due to the owners because I know that the humidity in Florida is the cause of this. I would definitely stay there again if Lisa and Scott will allow us to do so. The cottage was settled nicely in a beautiful location surrounded by plants and welcoming walkways to the beach or pools. They also offer a beach tram to take you to the beach if you would like. It was more dated than the pictures, but it was perfect for us and roomy for 3 people. The property was beautiful as well. Again, more dated than the picture, but beautiful. The beach was better than we imagined, and the hot tub and pools were used every day. The only thing we didn't love was the traffic outside the resort. We rented bikes and our 12 yr. old with autism didn't like riding on the bike trail along that busy road, so we just drove the bikes to a different location to go biking....but that is not the resorts fault. The owners of hidden dunes must scrèen the renters well, because all the people there were very nice, and all the owners we met as well. I had a few questions during our stay for the owners of our condo and they always responded in a timely matter. And one last thing....we felt very safe there with the security team being at the entrance gate 24/7\. A d they were very polite and always greeted us with a smile. ##### John N. We cannot occupy space on outside deck, or long as the deck door to access pools, etc. because it was blocked off from the construction and obviously if that’s where the construction was you didn’t want to be on the deck eating or playing games due to the fact that they were right outside your window.
