Nice well priced hostel
Lovely hostel, very clean. Good shared kitchen facilities, lounge and dining area. Bathrooms were clean and mostly modern. Heating worked well. Location is a bit out the way but we knew that and enjoyed it. Track up in the car a bit shoddy so drive slow! No issues sharing on our visit but it was quiet, not sure how it would be if full. Improvements - Some benches outside for sunny days. The green light that stays on all night (assuming for health and safety) is far to bright and kept me awake - Eventually created a den in the bunk beds to resolve this, but ideally the light could do with being much dimmer if it has to be there. 30 minutes walk into Minehead, and walks all around in the woods.

Hi Jenny, many thanks for staying with us and for the kind words. The way up to us is but a bridleway that will always be a bit bumpy, but hopefully it's worth the effort to find us up in the woods of Exmoor. Please don't bring the Ferrari next time!! We do have some picnic benches for outside...they will appear very soon after a winter inside (there is also a big round bench always outside on the decking, so apologies if you missed that one!). And apologies for the green emergency safety light in your bedroom...we'll do something to dim that immediately. All the best for now, AG

generall good but needs warning about car access. I grounded 3 times getting to the designated parking area & I was taking it gently.

Yes, sorry about the drive up to us. There is only so much that can possibly be done to a bridleway inside Exmoor National Park. I hope it was worth the effort to come to this very special place.

Great place
Lovely place but tricky for a car to get to because it is in the middle of a forest and track is very bumpy but well worth it when you get there. Very clean can’t ask to much for 39 pounds 🤓
